I was having the same issues. JBA has since sent me the new A-arms. Gen 5.5. They work great. 2.5" lift and they hit the factory bump stops, before the top of the pocket. Check out the How-to in the Tech section. I have updated it with a couple of new pics. (Once again, many thanks to Digger for uploading it again, for me.) I did have to shave the lower part of the pocket, a little less than 1/4", so they would extend to full down, without hitting. But there was room to do that.

With a new product there are bound to be hiccups in the design.
Marlin made it right. Good customer service has gotten a lifetime recommendation for JBA products, from me. I am one very happy camper.
