One last question. Where do you run the wires through the firewall?

the spot i used will work only if you have an automatic. there is a rubber grommet immediately to the right side(if looking towards engine bay from front of KK) of the brake booster, just made a hole in the grommet for all my wiring.

Does adding extra lights void any part of the warranty? I have a while to go with mine, so Id like to get the most out of it I can.

I would say no unless something you did while installing the lights caused the problem.

There is another grommet on the driver's side.. If you were looking at the front of the vehicle, it'd be to the 5'oclock position of the steering wheel.

Does wiring extra lights to the headlights sound like a bad idea? The goal is to have them on all the time. Should I just have them wired to there own switch?

I was wondering the same thing. The KC slim lights manual has a white wire to allow it to be plugged into the fogs or highs but I'm gunna just do a separate switch because the ecu probably won't like things piggybacking off of it

Yes, whenever possible run the wire, add the switch ( and relay ) and use an inline battery fuse.

So I got my lights and JK bar and got a Dremel 4000. Before I install it, when you screwed the bar into the bumper, did it just go into the plastic or does it go into the metal underneath as well. Did you put a nut on the bolts to Keep them down as well?

it just screws into the plastic. when i did mine i used the wall anchors but you could use a nut/bolt also.

This is how I have my lights set up.
viewtopic.php?p=478384#p478384

I like it because you can have them come on automatically when you turn other lights on, so you don't forget to turn them off.
You can also turn them on however you want.
Or leave them off always.

Excellent! Thanks infernicus! This has definitely clarified a few things for me on the wiring. Now time to order lights and harnesses!

So i threw the old colored grill back on and got rid of the Chrome one. As for the vinyl apps, they will do for now, but in the summer im guna paint the headlights instead of vinyl.
