As far as the license plate goes, Tom's right, I usually forget to mount it lol but a couple zip ties hooks it pretty well. I also have a license plate mount but it was made for Crager soft eights, they have a larger hole than the OEM rims. I plan to put Rock Krawlers on when I get new tires, I think the holes are the same size as the soft eights. By the way, the tire isn't heavy while it's mounted on the carrier.
The one on the Cherokee, if it was made by Detours, is probably a tailbone. He does a very good job with those. Usually their welded to the rear crossmember. Some drop out of the way and some swing out of the way.
Do you have the oem hitch? Im talking to detours now and he said it might be a problem.
