I had it professionally done, but after going over what they did, it can actually be easily done as long as you don't have the sky slider roof or a bunch of stuff in your overhead.

do your cut into the front of the hump (after measuring of course" and at what angle you want it at. along with the strap, a thick piece of foam is awesome for protection between the headliner and the cb.

the front cover really is just that, a cover that fits snuggly over the front of the cb. It's made of styrene for solid with foam and fabric to match.

The only reason I had it done professionally was because it was right after my spinal surgery, so I was not really capable of doing it at the time. But, it can be done easily with some basic fabrication skills.

Thanks! glad I could get some to help

It's a good project! in all honesty, I think the hardest part would be creating the front cover. But, I build and race RC cars/trucks and have been working with styrene and can tell you that it wouldn't be to difficult.
