Follow up to my last comment. I read on some other, older forums on here that you don't really need to replace the stock bump stops unless you are gong with a really big tire? Do I really need to do anything if all I am going to is 245/70/16?

No you need to install new longer front and rear bumpstops to protect your shocks.
2nd is to protect the flares from hitting the tires/ wheels

Can I fit 245 tires without a lift if i need to do this piecemeal? Also is there a how to on the install of the OME lift including the hockey pucks on this forum? Tom do you think any qualified mechanic could easily install this if I explain what the pucks are for? What hardware and sizes do you use to attach the pucks? Is there no part through JBA that works for the rear bump stops?

Highly doubt you could run 245-75-16s without a lift, may get them on but would have lots of rubbing
Its not that hard to install an OME lift, heck I've talked guys through it over the phone before LOL
Hockey pucks are done by drilling holes in the center and just bolting them down to the spring pad
for most lifts 2 hockey pucks per side, I use a 3/8 inch bolt 2.25 inches long
There is a rear bumpstop that JBA sells, it has to be bolted down as well to the lower spring perch and also cut off to what length you want it

Sorry Tom. Just to clarify. I was asking if you think I could fit 245/70/16 tires without the lift. Not 75. Thanks again. I need new tires and id like to go a bit beefier than stock but I'd also like to get the lift sooner or later and would prefer not to double up on stock tire size now and then slightly larger later.
