Yeah they hit when the suspension drops (like going over a speed bump any faster than a crawl). You might still get that without the clevis lift though.

Took off the clevis lift....the arms/ball joint/knuckle no longer hit the springs. There is about a 1/16" space between the spring and arm at full droop.

Went through the car wash at Shell to get some of this darn dust off. Their car wash sucks by the way. Now looking at some camo seat covers. Also just filled her up with some 93 Octane for the week ahead. Going fishing in the am!!!!

It's been a busy couple of weeks for the KK. Installed OME front spring, top plate, clevis lift, JBA UCA, RRO adventure rack, and JCR offroad sliders.

I'm finally installing my lift this weekend. Starting with the rear today, and prepping to do the front tomorrow. Then it goes in for new tires tomorrow afternoon.

i bought some ratchet straps just in case, but i'm not 100% sure when I'll need them/ how to use them (in regards to their use during the install)

I'm thinking I read that you might need them when putting the LCA back on?

Well, hopefully i dont run into any problem that requires the straps

Don't remove the lca. Some use the strap to pull the lower part of the clevis to align the bolt. I found it way easier to first slide the clevis on to the shock but don't tighten anything, then slide in the lower bolt and hand tighten the lower bolt's nut. Then tighten the upper bolt, then the lower. I have the newer stamped style clevis though, i dont know if 09s came that way.

Well I've had my first set back. Beside fastening the hockey pucks taking forever b.c. You need baby hands and tiny tools to get the nut in there and then counter torque it...

While putting the upper shock bolt back on one side, the frickin torque wrench wasn't cooperating and I ended up breaking the bolt!

Got it out and rushed to the dealer, but I was a half our too late. The hardware store didn't have the bolt so I'm screwed til the dealer opens at 8 tomorrow.

Setback #1 solved at ace hardware. Back is done and looks good!

Got the front all set up but my 13/16 socket is too shallow. Going to get a deep well.

Tinted the front windows 35%. Exactly what I wanted. Not enough for police attention (it's illegal), but dark enough to keep the sun out and people's annoying highbeams in my sidemirrors.

Had to pull a boat out the water for Toyota driver. He had a prerunner lifted and all decked out but no chunk. He just kept spinning his rear wheels trying to get his mud boat out the water in a sloppy launch. I offered to pull it out for him and he laughed. I told him to unhook his trailer and I would get it for him. Stock tires and all I just crept that boat out and barely broke a tire loose. He never noticed the jeep liberty 4x4 before and his hunting buds kept tagging on him. He said he liked it and said its a sleeper. Haha. They all laughed when I backed down with stock tires and all. Love my kk!!!

sent from my Sprint evil EVO.

Finished the OME lift last night! went much smoother this weekend using a couple lessons learned from last weekend. Much easier after i bought a Kobalt torque wrench too. The POS pittsburgh wrench I bought from harbour freight was... a POS. :furious:

Tire appt at 1:30 this afternoon, and then I'll post pictures here soon!

I bought the 7yr/7k mile warranty this morning for $1,385, because the audio on my MyGig stopped working 5 days after my factory warranty ended and it was the only way the dealership was willing to fix or replace it without charging me for parts/labor. This just happens to be the day after the dealership replaced the center console and a did a few repairs under the warranty, but they claim that they didn't do anything that could have damaged my MyGig. This sounds even more suspect after typing it out.

What do you guys think? Is it worthwhile to extend the warranty?

On a slightly funnier note, I now have to drive around with a boombox in the backseat for a few weeks until I am able to submit a claim under the new warranty, just like I did with my Chrysler Fifth Avenue in high school.

Finally got the jeep aligned. It drives straighter but the steering wheel still needs to be slightly to the right for it to drive perfectly straight. will track left if the wheel is neutral.... anyone else experience this? Its been like that since i bought it.

Marlon_JBT, what is that ECO symbol on your dash? Is that something thats only on '10 and up?

It indicates when the vehicle is being driven in a fuel efficient manner or during fuel shutoff.

And yes, '10 and up.

Sagerist... just got mine aligned today. Steering wheel still needs to be slightly to the right, but it is right where it was when it was new.
