I'm sure you'll love it. It's more fun to drive when you can actually hear the exhaust.

Which magma flow did you purchase I definitely want to add an exhaust

This conversation is making me want to start a "Let's Hear Your Liberty" thread. I believe mine is pretty badass for a Libby.

Sounds good I originally was going to go with a 3.5 back spacing but didnt really know what to choose. I'm happy with my decision I think it looks great it would if been easier to just get 3.5 back spacing but it is what it is works just as good. And haven't had any issues with rubbing after I took care of the pinch weld even wile the suspension is articulated.

265-70-16 would be the same size or within 1/10 of an inch in width, plus they are the same height, well actually the 265-70s are a little taller
installed on a 7 inch rim with 4 inches of back spacing you'd have no issues
And as far as cutting the pinch weld out, would never do it.
When looking at costs then it comes down to can I just bolt these on or do I have to buy extras / hack away etc .
Don't see the advantage to going to 15s on a KK
If you can show me a real reason then i may change my mind

I don't have a real reason, just preference. I may do it then hate the result or it may be the next great mod, who knows. Some of the tires I want only come in flotation sizes. Then there's some that start at 265-75-16. Either way, their a long way off for me. Gears are next. I never dreamed how hard the parts are to find. I think they're the JK gears but I can't confirm it.

Tom, without throwing more fuel on the wheel tire "debate" going on....

I've got a tire question for you, I've already installed a JBA 2.5" lift, which when leveled out, it's about 3.5" in the front, set at 21 1/4".

I've already purchased a set of 5 16X8 Moabs.

Can I go bigger than a 265/70/16? Without the pinch weld mod?

I think he was referring to those who just cut them. There may not be any direct structural support but there may be a problem if the panels that are welded together seperate. :2cents:

Stock backspacing is 5 inches some 5.5 in the larger sizes
7 inch wide rim with 4 inches of back spacing works great
anything less than that is pushing the tire/wheel too far out and causing lots of issues of rubbing etc
unless of course you're just driving to the mall

so yes 3 inches of backspacing would push the tire out farther making it look,.... well I'll stop there

That's what I was wondering. I was just using numbers for the sake of clarity. So as for backspacing, the lower the number the further the tire/wheel gets pushed out. Thank you :D

Just an FYI pinch weld has no structural support so it's easy to do also just sayin

Ah but you are so wrong , sorry
Not sure how you can say it has no structural support as the whole body is made in such a way anything cut out does weaken it some
The whole main body is welded together as one piece, ie unibody, cut out part of that and you have weakened that area. That is the reason we have always just pounded that area over in the KJs. Go into a "good" body shop and tell them you're going to remove a welded area and see what they tell you.

just sayin'

ditto on that. it takes a bit of umph and sweat to pound but in the end you retain the same structural integrity vs. removing the whole pinch weld. BTW: there are at least three layers of metal so that is three structural plane that is being affected if it's cut.

Or if you don't want to sweat, use an air hammer.

Haha. I have a 4lb hand sledge, but I've always tried to "think smarter, not harder."

On my Nissan 240, when I put the Corvette motor in it, I had to "massage" the trans tunnel opening quite a bit with the 4lb sledge to accommodate the bigger bellhousing on the T56 6-sp trans.

But its so much more fun to actually use a hammer
frustrations from being on a forum trying to explain someone that doesn't get it, just go away after about the 3rd or 4th hit    :ROTFL:
