I wonder how far apart we were. I was there at the Best Buy around noon.

Yep, I live just around the corner, I was at the Kroger for some last minute stuff around 1PM on Christmas eve. I'll try to park next to your Jeep next time I'm at JNAP for a group picture 8)

Just reached 50K miles today on vacation. I bought it December 2011 so at this rate by Dec 2015 I'll be at the 100k.
Also stopped by Saguaro National Park and Hoover Dam. In Vegas now.

Well its an 08. Has the 3.7 automatic 4x4. Skyslider roof. Haven't got to do anything to it but wash it today. Picked it up last Saturday with only 58k on it for $11,000. I absolutely love it. Not sure what all I am gonna do to her yet. Have to keep looking around the forum for ideas. Lol

Mighty funny you posted that.

I have seen 3 Renegades (along with 3 KL Cherokees) today alone, NOT including my own. Where are they coming from?

When I first bought mine, I rarely saw one... now, at least two daily. Mine and the people who just bought one down the street! :P

Sounds like a really great price! I also have the Skyslider. If you browse this forum you will find quite a few mods you can do. If you check out my signature, I have just about everything you can buy for a KK.
One of the best things you can do with an early KK like you have is install a Hypertech programmer.
It would probably be a good idea to change all of your fluids and spark plugs at your mileage. Engine oil, front and rear differential, transfer case, and transmission. The transmission is the only one you need to take to the dealer for. The others you can do with some free time on the weekend.
Once again, welcome and searching this forum will answer lots of questions, but feel free to ask.

Thanks, I think they turned out well and it did not take long, PIAA includes everything you need so it was done pretty quick. But now I will have to change out my headlights...they are stock and with both sets on the yellow really shows itself compared to the white of the PIAA.

Its coming along good now that Im actually doing changes and not just thinking about it all the time, heh

I will be putting my lift on next month, My brother and his buddies only usually get one weekend a month to mess with our jeeps so I have to wait it out. When the wheels are off I will hit them with plastidip at the same time. I will have to live with my 225/75r16 Cooper AT3s for a bit though, only have like 10k on them and they look brand new still. I will go a tad bigger next round.

Definitely look at YouTube for some videos. The trick with the rims is VERY light coats for the first two, then heavier after that. 4 coats is good enough.
I've done about 7 sets of rims now, and the average is 2 cans of dip. Black rims for 10 bucks.
Another trick is to put quarters on the holes for the lug nuts so they don't catch when you put the lugs back on and rip the paint off.
Just my :2cents: but it looks better with silver center caps and silver lugs.

Thanks. That XJ has received a lot of attention lately.
It's my friend's girlfriend's rig. Just replaced the valve cover gasket on it. It came out in three pieces.
Very easy to do in case anyone has to do one in the future.

I've been looking at those lights but tommudd's previous reference to a blue bulb in PIAAs has scared me off a bit. Is the bulb completely clear? Or is there a blue tint to it?

Just put the Tommudd 3.5" lift on with a set of GY Duratracs! Did it over X-MAS. It was both mine and my pop's first lift kit, so there was some learning curve at the beginning but after that it went pretty smooth. Overall, I really like it, it's a much better ride than stock and looks great too. Next job, skids and intake mod.
