Had my mom take it in for oil change. After she dropped me off for therapy. I have expired coupons that were for$19.95. So without a coupon, She was charged $52.
I had her ask about coolant flush. He said around $250. Then he said I needed rear brakes $250. I can't do them so if my mom will pay I'll have her get them done. She can go up there when in at therapy.

52 for an oil change???? What kind of oil are you using? Rear brakes for $250?

You need to find a new mechanic.

You gotta remember shops have a lot of overhead. The rears might be including new rotors too.

I'd normally be doing myself, can't and might not ever be able to again. If it needs to be done and my mom is willing to pay, then to be safe it will get done regardless of prices.
The oil change i set the appointment, my mom took it in. I had her asked about the coolant flush, pricing. I guess that meant I wanted a safety inspection. Because bill says customer request oil change and 23 point inspection. I was shocked at the price but ok with it being done. It's been 5 + months since I've been able to do much. Before that a lot of that time was spent trying to figure out how to live with my mom. And how to have a 75 year old do things she never did before. I wasn't sure when I changed oil last, but my mom remembered.

If you were closer I'd do the oil change for ya.
Hope everything gets back to normal for ya soon.

Finally found a few minutes to install my new wiper blades. Even got to test them out in this rain we're having in Jersey.
