Use it as a mount for a custom fairing for the Sky Slider.

I honestly always wanted a curved light bar over the windshield, just wasn't sure how/was too lazy to make the mounts. I also wasn't sure if I wanted a ~40" or a 50" (never took measurements to see what would fit best for the look I wanted).

So depending on how this all turns out, I might be in touch with him... This is turning into an expensive year :5SHOTS: :5SHOTS: :5SHOTS:

Ran into a little fitment issue after welding, I'll have to put a little more bend in it but I probably won't be able to get to it till Tuesday...stay tuned.

Ok I found some free time and tweaked the fitment so here are some pictures.

Hmm, wonder if it'd be possible to hang that a little further out over the winshield. I would need to make sure everything clears the sky slider (closed and opened towards the front).

It's very possible. I didn't only because of material constraints I had on hand.

How is the vibration on the road, between the bracket and the roof channel? Is there some kind of foam tape in there to eliminate direct contact between the bracket and your paint?

Really looks sweet. That's the cleanest light bar installation that I've seen. How did you run the wiring to the light bar?

I had never seen one of those light bars, and then driving up the 101, about the time I got into Northern CA, they were all over on lifted 4x4's. :5SHOTS:

I think it would clear no problem without actual measurements.

Yep there's foam tape under the bracket. I took it up to 70mph and I had no weird vibrations or harmonics. I stuck my hand out the window and touched the light bar and it wasn't moving. The key is the rib on the bracket, it keeps everything stiff. Because of the thickness of the roof rail mount, I could only use 1/8" thick material which can be pretty bendy on longer lengths. The wiring is ran under the black trim on either side of the windshield.

It most likely would. It's also just my personal preference that they hangout over the windshield a little like this:

That is more than likely pretty easy to do with a mount similar to his.

Maybe if yall had a solar panel on your roof, light bar installs would be super easy...
