I'm fairly certain my KK has an oil leak. There are spots everywhere that I park. I checked the oil a couple weekends ago and the level was fine. I can't tell if there was oil stuck in the skid plate from the dealership changing it or what. I'll have to check it again today to see how the level is now.

Time to fill it up again, too. I think I got 318 miles out of this tank and the gas light just came on.

Chances are good it's just residual from when the dealership did it.

That's what I'm thinking/hoping. I'll check the level again at lunch.

A few minutes with a flashlight and you might have your answer. Also check to make sure it's not coming from your power steering.
Not bad mileage. Probably a little less than 19 m.p.g. Did you switch back to stock size tires?

Good call. I'll check more tonight when I'm home and not in dress clothes.

I've always had stock sized tires but I switched back to the SR-As in the spring to help with the summer gas mileage. I'll be putting the Duratracs back on very shortly.

Lower or upper? I just received my lower ball joints for 25 each through Rock Auto for the professional grade, came with a zerk to regrease them as well. Look solid as heck. I'll be swapping them out when I change out my driver and passenger CVs next week

I bought the Moog K80629 lowers. On rock auto they were $33 and on summit they were $31, not much of a difference but hey I'm cheap :-)r

Went to Henrico VA for 3 days for a Christening, our first long trip since adding JBA lift, ATH bumper and mopar skids.
The KK performed really well and the JBA really made the highway ride smooth.
(packed with the kids, wife, our pet and bags etc...)
Did not see one single KK when we were there,
but did see a few of them near Maryland and Jersey :)

Jeep looks nice! There are quite a few Lost members in the Jersey area. I'm guessing you were the only modded Liberty.

Thanks Gage :)
A few KK's and a couple of commanders at the NJ turnpike, no mods.
(I did see a few lifted JKU's that were done nice)
As usual, the cross bronx was a mess :banghead:

There are sooooo many modded JK's and JKU's in Jersey, but I imagine it's common in every state.

Switched to synthetic oil for the first time. Also got new front rotors, and brake pads all around. I guess I'm all set for the trip back to school and the winter for now. Well see what happens haha

What brand rotors and pads? Also, did you install yourself?

Changed the oil today, washed the engine bay afterwards with Simple Green as per tom's recommendation. Worked great and I managed to catch it on sale!

Oh and this is a popular topic but I found an easier way to remove the oil filter, and I don't think it's been suggested (correct me if it has). IF you're not lazy, remove your grill and drive side headlight (1 minute job) and you can slide your hand all the way to the filter easily. Picture is of the nice path to it!

^^^^^^^^^ Well that's interesting.
I'm still okay for now. Not too bad with arms on the skinny side and I don't have skids. Good find.

Thank you. I'll continue to do it this way since I was literally stuck under my truck for 15 minutes holding the filter up so it didn't spill on me last time. My arm didn't want to come out :ROTFL:
