Nice writeup!!!
Its cool that everything turned out puuurfectly!
Did you also noticed a good improvement on light output?

I could have done a much better job on the write up . . .

The only difference I noticed, is that there are 6 tabs holding the grille on (might be different with the KK sport and limited). I would have done a step by step photo process, but I was rushing my first time around, then I had some errors. I was sure to take pics when I went back and fixed it.

The output is not even comparable. The HID's are so far beyond the stock headlights, yet they are also not offensive to other drivers. No need for Highbeams. I am thinking if I go to the HID fogs, I will not need Aux lights.

I am noticing EXTREME hot temperatures on the foglights (you cant even touch the darn things) (not the bulbs of course, the headlight enclosure) I guess that HIDs are not designed for being on a small enclosure....
I think Im gonna go back to Stock fogs.... As far as I recall they dont heat up as much as hids do :?

Hold that thought, because when I was doing this install, i noticed when testing everything that the stock fogs run BLAZING hot. It might not make a difference. I will take a look at this later today. If they both run hot, might as well keep the HID's right?

I guess you are right...
HIds are ridiculously hot... I know that lights get hot and all, but this is something that might melt a plastic cup if put in front of the fog light.... (I dont know if that could actually happen but they are hot as hell if you catch my drift)
So I guess Ill wait until zoso checks his fogs out to decide if I take them out or not.

No issues with the headlights being hot?

I was just out on my lunch break driving around with my headlights on, and when I parked I felt the front and back and they were cool as a cucumber. I will drive home (45 minutes) with my fogs on and check to see if they are hot.

Well I usually don't but it is snowing like hell here, so the KK is all wide eyed and excited . . . plus Quincy Jones (KK nickname) like showing off his new hot doo doo headlights.

I felt my foglights after an hour plus of driving, and they are actually quite warm to the touch from the outside. Are you saying that they are actually hot with the HID's?

you cant even touch the darn foglight area!!!
thats why im a little concerned...
We have to take into consideration that our current weather conditions are above 55F...
that might have to do with something.... :?

Yeah we had crazy snow all day, and I was driving into 20 degree air. So mine might actually be hot normally. But like I said, it was pretty hot, but not HOT HOT.

thanks zoso for the link. I just have two more questions before I order the HIDs.
Will the kit come with every thing I see on this link? Will I have to get any more adapters for this to work?
http://www.hid-light.com/install/install.html

I'm just asking because I've heard some bad stories about HID kits from ebay.

The kit is all inclusive. The only thing you need to be aware of is that you will no longer have high beams. If you want bi-xenon's then you will have high beams, but they are at least twice the cost. I found them to be a great value though as is, and don't miss my high beams. It definitely took some adjustment time to not instinctively throw on my high beams since I live in a fairly rural area, but in the end I really don't need them.

Oh yeah and be prepared to occasionally get 'flashed' by oncoming drivers. But it only has happened a handful of times to me. Also, I have passed cops head on and never had a problem, despite what some people might tell you.

Do it!
