How is the power difference compared to 245/75-16s? Are you leaning more towards 4.10s or 4.56s? Any rub at all? And what do you sit at from hub to fender? Just gave you all new questions :jester:

If I get my new job I'm going with 4.56s  that way I can go with bigger tires if I want to later

Today's tiny project was to put on the new matte black Jeep emblems. I got them off eBay, oddly enough from my local dealership that I purchased the Jeep from. After watching a quick YouTube video on how to get the stock ones off, I went & pulled the originals off, & put the new ones on.

Here's a few pics...

I'm planning in 4:56, but maybe 4:88 if Marlin makes his beefier front diff. I plan on locking it at the same time as well so it will me a little while before I can scrape together the funds. As far as power difference. There is a little power loss, like there was from stock to the 245's, just add to it. The most noticeable loss of power is when trying to pass people on the highway, that is pathetic lol. But I can deal with that. The Jeep feels higher, and I love the more aggressive tread. The worst part is the pathetic gas mileage I now seem to get. I'm still calculating what it really is since the odometer is now off.
As for rubbing, there was a little on the plastic covering the front pinch weld, bit not actually touching it. The back I'll be doing the hockey puck mod and replacing the teraflex ones this week, or I'll probably loose my fender this next saturday when I go wheeling. I'll try to measure the height a little later.

Two additional tips:
1: use tape to mark the original alignment, that way its easier to align the new one.
2: heat the old emblems up with a hair dryer first, the heat will help soften the adhesive.

Luckily I didn't have any problem with the original adhesive, & I could see the outline of the original emblem in the paint job, so I was lucky to have that as a guide.

Not sure if I did something wrong or it's just REALLY out of tune and the fact that it's hiding under a carport... I get BUSY for all 40 channels. Yes, everything is wired up, red to red, black to black, and mount ground to chassis.

Turn up your Squelch or turn down your RF gain. Also check/adjust your SWR before you key up to prevent damage to the finals.

Made an appointment with a set few days for someone else to touch my Jeep and install the 4.56s. This $4000 for gears/labor and tires better be worth it haha.

I did this a couple weeks ago but I put a fire plate back on the front license plate. Looks much better now.

Also fixed the short I had on the CB RF cable, so now she makes noise and I just need to tune it.

You're right, the labor for the regear is $1185. I'm getting Pro Comp MT2s which are $1250 plus the mount/balance. The gears/kits are another $1000 plus $150 for warranty.
