Thanks Bmxer. Cherrie, I was thinking about and considered it but I dont like the idea that it blocks up the cooler where air is supposed to get it in. Also the fact that it's an extra $200 over the tow hooks. I would prefer the system over the hooks but..

Just thought I'd give another option. I hope to make my own. But until then tow hooks for me.

I know and I appreciate it. Same, which I was good at fabricating/welding like others on here

Well, I've gone out drinking 2 nights in a row now, and I think I'm done for the week...or atleast a few days. Been getting a little too drunk for me to keep wanting to do it all week. Atleast I don't get sick :5SHOTS:

Same here. The weeknight sessions are killing me, haha. Although yesterday's Sunday Funday was totally worth the exhaustion today.

I literally came home saturday, ate some food and went to bed. Slept most of the day since it was my first day off in a long time. Last night I went out, said this is my last beer, and a friend bought us a round of shots. That's what put me over. Walked home(literally live 4/5 blocks away lol) ate some food. put my plate down and fell asleep on my couch. Now I can go out today, and gain tomorrow...but idk how my body(let alone the parents..) would feel about that lol

I'm practically married as is. I can't tell you the last time I had the bed to myself. I have a queen size bed, yet I'll be lucky if I'm completely on it when sideways. If I go somewhere, more than likely the ball and chain comes. Only good thing is she's my best friend too.

Wow...you just described me & the area of the bed that I'm allotted every night, haha. Luckily, we're getting a new house in a little less than a month & upgrading to a king sized bed! YATZEE!!

Well there's an 89 XJ in amazing condition but it was blowing smoke. He wanted $3300 for it. No way I'd spend that on it. The 91 I looked at seemed fine but then I drove it. It was terrible driving and I probably drove 100ft before I turned around.

I'm going to skip that idea and just add more to the Liberty.

That's a mighty fine idea...I was thinking the same exact thing, just not really all that handy.

I would, just let me know.

Awesome! I'm rarely on that side of town.

I ordered a decal from pixel decals and still have not received it.

Just gotta be patient, my decal took about three weeks (I think) to arrive ... love the way it looks though!

Yeah, we can't wait to be over on that side of LKN. We've both been on this side for ten years now. Since you're obviously are a lot more familiar with LKW than I am, the Ms. & I have been wanting to do a LKN to LKW Catawba River trip. Any suggestions/ideas? You're welcome to join if you care to as well whenever we get around to it.

I'm sure taxes are a lot better than LKN and traffic too! I work in uptown and I can imagine commuting south everyday.

I'm sure that would be a long trip but a cool idea! You could go all the way to Tbones on the lake. They have a dock so you could take your Kayaks there. The other idea is to end up at McDowell park and have a picnic. They have a lake access as well.

I just got my decal in the mail today.

My girlfriend commutes south every day, takes her an hour (on average) to go from 28 to uptown near the arena. On the other hand, I work in Mooresville (x36) & it takes me approx. 30 min. every day to go 8 miles...hah. Traffic around here sucks, but part of the charm of the Lake I suppose.

The trip would take pretty much all day, but it can be done in a day if you haul arse. I wouldn't mind breaking it up into a day & a half trip, camping somewhere in between over night. Then have a lunch & load out at LKW sometime on a Sunday or something.

As for the decal...how does it look? Might want to wait until Saturday for the warmer weather...tends to stick better.

My wife works near the arena as well inside the Wake Forest Building. I'm actually accross Tryon St from the Bank of America Corporate building. We drive by the airport every morning instead of taking I-77 due to the frequent accidents and delays. It takes us a good 40 min on a good day to get to uptown.

IF you had to split it into two trips, the hardest thing I would imagine is finding a place to camp out. I'm sure you could at Mcdowell park but by then, you're already there.

How are you planning on getting back? Leaving a vehicle in LKW and driving back or Kayaking back? I think that would be a great trip.

My g/f works in 1BAC, across from the Wake building. She'll obviously be taking a different route to work once we move.

I haven't really done any research into the kayaking/camping trip, so I'm not sure where we'd camp. I wouldn't have a problem with primitive camping someplace along the river that looked fine, we've done it before on the Yadkin & New Rivers...just can't get caught!..hah. As for the transportation back, I'm sure we'd just shuttle it, takes a while, but easier that paddling back up river.

That 1Bac building is awesome. I actually work for Bank of America in the Large Corporate banking side.

I've been on the new river and nolichucky. The new river was amazing! It was tour guided so we didn't camp at either river.

I'm going to eventually get a Kayak just have to get around to it.
