Waxed the whole Jeep today. Well, besides the roof. Shined the tires again.

Oil filter looked loose, so ill be going in for an early oil change.

Checked the air intake functions.

LFH: do you use carbon activated filters? I love mine. Still clean after multiple Nasty dusty off road trips.

It's my last day off and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Cleaned my KK from top to bottom, but unfortunately found a nail in one of my rear tires :banghead: .

Besides the nail in the tire, today was a good day!

Did you trim the bottom bumper or just remove the chin spoiler on the bottom?

Removed. Has no mileage affect with or without it on. Stock or lifted height.

I have been using the regular filters, Purolator brand. They seem to work well. The old one was pretty dirty, at least!

Gave my rock rails and bumper a bath and weighed them:

Image

Love this hitch basket...custom built for my best friend's Xterra (just tall enough to clear the lift gate when it's still attached! Even for the KKs!)

Image

Bumper weighs just over 110lbs and each rock rail is 75lbs on the dot...How much does your armor weigh again ATH?

Also, here's my switches waiting to be installed still:

Finally got a warm enough day to crawl under the Jeep and install my OEM hitch harness. :)

I removed the air dam and trimmed the bumper a little.

Well tonight when I drove from CT to NJ, i was 5 mins from home and my front driver brake started making a really loud squeaking noise. I drove slowly home, and one block from my house my traction control and esp lights came on. This should be a fun to diagnose in the AM

ugh that drive is the absolute worst on brakes. A couple years back my driver side front caliper seized closed on that trip back into CT.

On another note. found a stock liberty to park next to :)

No its just miles and miles of stop, up to 20mph and stop again or worse no matter what time of day you come through. Nyc commuters. and probably for my situation just a stroke of bad luck

Very productive day with the Jeep haha. Finally installed my 300W power inverter in the jack storage spot. Took me a while to tear apart the trim for the trunk to run the cables through there. (Yes the faceplate is ziptied...works like a champ though haha). The inverter is mounted onto the unibody via 3M double sided tape.

I also installed my rocker switches. Love the switches but unfortunately they didn't fit very well in this location...sigh...

Image

Time for cleanup...I'm a very messy worker haha

Image

I also tried to re-wire my CB...and now doesn't work with a switch...sigh...

Well now you have another project lol. I don't see any cold beverages around those tools. So you're very clean there or you're not doing it right :jester:

ha ha NAM, I have taken those rear panels apart multiple times for different runs (rear LEDs, air compressor, CB antenna) and the first time is the toughest but it becomes pretty easy after, I can pull pretty much the whole interior apart now with no issues. I usually end up fixing something and something else decides to quit working... Keeps me busy on the weekends though ha ha
