I did a lot....sorta... First, I changed out the driver's window switches. That took all of 5 minutes. Then I rotated my tires, but in the middle of that I threw 2 on the front of my sister's TJ to see how they clear. She only has 30x9.5s, and my 31s stand about 1.5" or so taller than hers. They rub at full lock too, on the front sway bar links and lower control arms. Easy fix with different rims, spacers, or even limiting the steering a tad. They look good on it

On Saturday I took it from the airport parking lot to a Ford dealer. Within a few hours, I was leaving the dealer in a brand new 2015 Ford Edge and left the KK behind. It was a sad day, for sure, but I'm looking forward to the Edge.

I'm going back to the dealer Tuesday to take off my DuraTracs, the Mopar grill guard and the lights that were on it.

I did an oil change, tire rotation, and fixed my brake chatter using brake quiet. The tire rotation was a PITA since my jack and jack stands seemed to have walked off. Had to do everything with the stupid OEM scissor jack and one jack stand.

bought a crappy 2.5 ton jack months ago. way safer then the scissor jack. :2cents: id suggest to spend the 30 bucks vs using a scissor jack and blocks.

Soooo....how important is the insulation under the Jeep. Like the paper kind of stuff above the cat on the passenger side?

only important if you like cold floorboards.

mine are slowly falling off. try out some hvac aluminum tape if you still have the insulation on.

Installed my front diff (no shafts plugged in yet), got crazy with the spray paint and painted all of the front cradle, and installed all the air lines for the rear OX air locker. I now have a working air locker!!!

If anyone wondering this is how small the rear axle stock breather tube is lol. I just extended it so its up by the gas fill location now. About 5 feet of hose. I only did the rear axle and front axle breathers. I figure if the transmission and transfer case (which are at the top/back of the engine) go under water ill have more serious issues. Image

I just put on my first spot lights!
My buddy had them laying around and he installed them for me (and showed me how to for future installs)

All it cost was a six pack of blue moon!

My KK got a little TLC today.
- engine air filter
- cabin air filters
- Rainex Latitude windshield wipers

Next up is a tire rotation and oil change, and it's not too long before spark plugs are due.
Current mileage is 112944. (Jasper engine installed at 86K)

The kk had had a few small additions since I last posted

New tires: Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 245/75/16 I'm not sure if I posted about these
Image

Had an issue with my fender flares flying off down the highway after removing inner fender liners so I improvised with some right angle brackets and fasteners.
Image

Since the flares scuffed pretty badly after their run in with the asphalt I decided flat black was the answer and matched them to my bumpers

So I let the dealer deal with my whole cat situation. They claim the cats are fine, and removed the heat shield claiming it's not needed. Gotta love a warranty some times.

Anyways, since I commute 45 minutes 1 way to school I've been using my mom's Impala. Hate to say it, but I got spoiled. Don't worry it wasn't from the fancy luxuries, ride, or anything like that. I want the power. With over 300hp it moves and it gets almost 30mpg on the highway. It just wanted to cruise at 85-90mph. OnStar actually called my mom asking if it was stolen because I was doing over 95mph coming home one night. Sad thing is you don't feel or hear it...

here you go.

they removed the shielding and in a few months you'll be back due to interior carpeting melting... :2cents:

I'll see how hot it gets. Right now there's still some left. Worse case scenario I'll cut what's left out and install that.

Plastipped the rims with flat black and then coated with the metalizer... It looks really awesome! I'm thinking about trying
to do other details (such as door knobs, the side liberty name bars and rear mirrors) - but that just a thought...
Thanks for all the ideas!

Used 5-6 coats of flat black plastidip and 4-5 coats of the metalizer plastidip.
It was really easy to do and it would be just as easy to re-do it if I have to.
