I was back out seeing what my limits are on my 09. Does good stock with only mud tires.

Its actually steeper than it looks in the picture but still not that extreme. Tires didnt slip at all. The hitch dug in the ground, so without it the rear bumper would just miss it. Just spent the last hour or so pressure washing the whole thing top to bottom, mud gets everywhere even when not really mudding, lol. Did go through mud about a fiit and a half deep but didnt spin tires. Oh well, I know its clean and its a good way to check the nechanical stuff out.

So today I test fit a friend's (who's also a forum member) 265/75-16 M/T. With 3.5" of lift, stock bumpers and rims I had no rubbing at all. Sorry no pics, but I'm closer to making my decision for the next tire size.

I also have some other secrets that I'll be finishing up as time allows. Hopefully soon lol

When I got my lift installed at the dealer, they had a heck of a time doing the alignment. And to top it off, when I went to drive it off the lot, hard turns made the front end "pop". So, I turned around, pulled back in and told them what it was doing. Jeeping-by-Al had said they needed to drop the jeep on the ground, loosen the front sway bar, the tighten it back up. I had told them this before but they didn't do it. Once they did this, the poping was gone. I had to lift mine because after adding all the extra protection, I had like 6 inches at best of ground clearance. Didn't loose anything even after adding the front 120lb steel bumper. The rock sliders are something like 70lbs each. I didn't know they were that heavy till I found out the sliders 3in of solid steel, then add the tubes and under mount arms and it took two of us, 2 floor jacks and a bottle jack (pesky pinch weld) to get them on. Thank god for air wrenches. Add the full skids, class III hitch and it's on the heavy side. I did the lift before the front bumper. Now, I have just over 10 inches of clearance. The 32inch tires helps some too LOL.

Woah woah woah. What do we have here? Is this for the KK or Taco? Front or rear? I can't wait to see what you're doing with this.

For the KK, already have an Icon/Total Chaos setup on the Taco.
Those are for the front, rear parts are on the way too 8)

Got the old Rola roof basket out of mothballs in preparation for summer adventures. There was a lot of flaky paint and rust that I scraped off with a wire brush. Then I turned it upside down on some cardboard and gave it a good coating of Rustoleum Hammered Black. Tomorrow I'll turn it right side up and do that again on the other side.

It might be the last season for the old Rola... The pipes are really beginning to rust out at the joints. Surface rust is one thing, but I think we are going to have structural rust issues soon. Well, can't complain as I got it back in '12 for $50 from a former LOST jeeper. That's about $12.50 a year, not including paint.

Just gotta say, though.... Want... ATH... roof rack!!!!!!

Been a while since an update...I finally fixed everything driveline related:

Rear axle pinion seal
Front axle driver side output shaft seal
Transfer case motor/actuator

I also decided to flex out a bit...

Then did some night wheeling for the first time and got a little tipsy (:

I discovered my Jeep is leaking oil today, and judging by the number of drip spots on the driveway, it has been going on for at least a week. I was able to verify it was engine oil and not ATF, and that the leak seems to be coming from the oil drain plug. There were drips of oil hanging from there, and residue rearward on the transmission housing from oil spray. There did not seem to be any oil residue on the oil pan above the drain plug area, so I think I have ruled out something more sinister and expensive, like a rear main seal. I tightened the oil drain plug ever so slightly, but it was really on there already. I wonder if the problem is it was over-torqued. I'll keep an eye on it. Oil level in the engine is fine.

Hopefully it's something that silly. You change your own oil right? I'd wait till the next oil change before worrying too much, just make sure you put something under the Jeep so it doesn't stain the driveway.

I got a CB today. Cobra 75, can't wait to get time to install it. I need a lot of time to install things.... Lauren, would you mind sharing some pics of where you mounted your scan gauge and CB?
