The Dodge Nitro is coming to Europe, could be an interesting alternative for the new Liberty.

That's funny! Go here for verification of that statement - it's a window sticker for a new 4-Door Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon:

http://jeepkj.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3628

That window sticker is not correct. $195 for GPS Navigation with 20gb hard drive? That's over $1K on the Jeep site. Wish it were true.

That looks like it could potentially be sweet. It looks a lot more masculine than the current KJ's. With a few tweeks that could be a great improvement to the current model

So much for departure angle.? I guess that is just another reason to lift it higher right?

from those pics, the front lower a arms look real similar to the current kj. I hope the suspension similar so the aftermarket will still think about lifts and things for the KJ.

THese pictures make it look alot better though, IMHO.

I hoping they do one of those crossbreed -- a SUV with a small pickup back.

WOW those tires look small. What I don't get is why they don't make all jeeps come with at least 31s stock. True, biggers tires are heavier, but the people that can't lift a 33 probably won't do much better with a 29. That's what AAA is for.

The current Liberty was labeled as a Cute-UTE by the general public. As in, more women than men own one because of it's shape.
I am not liking that label, I get if from local "other" Jeep owners. I use to like the clean lines of a Harley Sportster...well still do, but the Harley crowd refers to them as Shirley Davidson's now that more women ride and choose the more manageable model.

Your post will now spark a new thread.

something that came to mind reading all this stuff....When the new 4 door Wrangler was released I saw a pic of the prototype and the production model sitting next to each other, The prototype used a rear section that looked liked it came off of a KJ more rounded it was also more rounded in the roof line and in the front, But when the production model came out it had a more boxy look like the current models, Also when I was in Alaska they would bring prototype road test vehicles up there for cold weather testing, I saw an 02 Audi in 1999 along with some VW stuff, ie the turbo model running with the Audi, thing is I got to seeing these guys quite a bit, They didnt always drive imports sometimes they would get some of the more cladded up ones such as the Avalance..Saw that too in 1999 it came out as an 01 model....They told me that sometimes when a big three they will use an existing platform to test aero qualities and and if they just wanted to test a new suspension sometimes they would only build the new stuff to a bare minium and then put stuff such as tail and head lights out of something else to thow off people. could explain why the lights look out of place. on one model these guys drove they had 3inches of cardboard taped under the cladding to totally change the lines of one vehicle, another looked like a thrifty car rental commercial....Thing is no matter what it looks like.....lets hope they remember the lessons learned with the current model...No aluminum front diff, better ball joints, And if Jeep has been looking at the current model as hard as people have let on then maybe they will listen. but we will see...
