The first question I have is do the wheels have the same bolt pattern as the current model? I can see that thing with a 2.5" lift and some MOAB (rubi) wheels on it. Second thing I noticed is that it looks like the departure angle is going to be reduced some. Think thats because the overall length of the rear body is longer. This gives you 2 things... (1)More cargo room..... (2)Room to put the spare tire under the bottom. |

For sure the rear of the new Liberty will cut down on the angle some... Unlike most I'd give up the short overhang for a bit more room to stuff things in the back of my Jeep. Either way, it really looks good and I might have to get me another Liberty next year. |

Well, looks like the wrangler is the only hope for a real offroader. Maybe Jeeps next new model will be more promising. I dont really think its ugly, but it just isnt a jeep. Someone said they should have revived the willys name, I think that would have been a good idea, then the more roadbound models could be called willys. This might make a good looking pickup though |

Yep, I was the one a couple of months ago that said to revive the Willys Name. Make it for the newer stuff like the Compass, Commander, ect. Seems like Jeep is trying to get the Hummer/Land Rover look with different lights. It is going to be difficult to tell the Commander and 2008 Liberty apart. Seems like they could have just made a KJ EXt...move the axle 4-6" back but keep the same lines...but then again that might look funny. I just don't see where the new Liberty fits in... I would rather have them make the Jeep Truck and the New Wrangler. They would both bring customers in the dealerships and the Liberty and Grand Cherokee would get a look at too. Basically it is all a guessing game at best. I think the Jeep Line up should be as follows: Wrangler 4Dr w/ Rubicon Model Wrangler 2Dr w/Rubicon Model Jeep Gladiator Grand Cherokee w/SRT Model Commander Liberty w/ Overlander Model (Rear Electronic Locker/2" Lift/31's) Patriot (with a hybrid Version) Compass w/ AWD Rally Version Get The Diesels up and running Then work on a true DAKAR Model |

I will take door #3 with a diesel please |

Is it just me, or is that quite a bit lower than the current liberty? If they did lower it, lengthen it, and put the spare underneath, I really am going to have to either consider a Wrangler or Toyota FJ next. I really think that Jeep is losing their focus. |

Tail lights stink and so does the back gate/rear end. Looks like everybody elses butt in the SUV market. BLAH! |

It's time to fire whoever designed this ugly replacement for the Liberty. They took something that was unique and just totally screw it all up. For what? The excuse to call it "all-new"? Is there an emoticon for "vomit" on this site? Sure could use one. |

Typical new Jeep reaction. Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, some comparisons. I didn't know where to base the sizes from so I did 4.

What a boring POS that is! The front end is the same ugly style that killed the Commander sales. Looks like the Wally Wagon. I was on the fence about whether to get a new Liberty or 4Dr Sahara Unlimited. Not any more. That thing has no personality. Chrysler is ruining the Jeep brand. It could be a Durango or Aspen or Commander - you have to measure it to find out. YYUUKKK!!! |

Hmm, kinda odd. Looks like it has more ground clearance. The rear end looks alot higher off the ground. Its kinda weird that the frame sticks down so far. Im fairly sure that I cannot see mine that easily? |
