I think that will be a "not sure" as you hate it now and you can not know for sure that it will grow on you and you are going to like it in the future.

I sure don't hate it. I don't really love it either, but I do like it. I can't wait to see one live and in person. Won't really know till then.

It looks fine, as does the comander, it's not what it looks like, it's what it is, a dodge. Both the new liberty and compass were after thoughts as dodge got the design, now we, the jeep buyers have to settle foe warned over dodges with jeep grills. I would feel better about it if jeep would have gotten the design and they made dodges out of it. If I wanted a dodge, I would have bought one. There's no difference between dodge and jeep anymore and thats a shame. A ford explorer is still an explorer, while land rover is still a land rover. I wonder how many ford would sell if they put a land rover grill on an explorer and tried to pass it off as a defender 90. There was no good reason to put a mini van motor in the new wrangler when they had a perfectly good low torque motor in the 4.0, or at least put the new nitro 4.0 v6 into it, seems like jeep is getting the left overs.

actually, everything i've read is that the dodge nitro is the one based off of the liberty, not the other way around... either way, it's not THAT bad... just wish they didn't make the front end look like the commander... that's the only part i don't like

I like it. I've sat in one and seen it up close. It is much more striking in person. The pictures don't really do it justice. A couple other things I will add...I saw the Nitro sitting right across the room from it and they did not look that similar. Approach and departure angles are virtually unchanged (I've seen the numbers) from our current model, but the breakover angle will not be as good due to the lengthened wheel base. The front air dam is removable and they did a great job of tucking that spare tire up and out of the way. Overall, I think they did a great job...there's nothing wrong with it that a lift and a couple Rock Lizard bumpers won't cure.

Skyjump136, did they keep the manual t-case, or is it on a dial now? That manual t-case makes a jeep a jeep. If you can't grind that t-case when cranking on the handle, "well", it just wouldn't be natural hee hee !!

I wish they kept the round headlights and tailgate spare. Seams the 08 lost alot of character, and the whole HUMMER'esque look jeep is moving to with the 08 and comander is very tired. If i wanted a hummer i'd buy a hummer. I wanted a jeep so i bought a Jeep. To me nothing says jeep like the round lights and 7 slot grill. O'well.

I'm gonna wait to pass judgment until I see one offroad and test drive one. I can look at stats and reviews all day long, but it wont really replace actual testing. From the looks, I do like the looks, I just think it should be differentiated slightly from the Commander. Not radically, just some stylistic changes to really set them apart. Plus, we have to remember all the screaming Cherokee people when the KJ came out. Deja vu.

I think the new liberty's SUCK. then again they screwed them up along time before now, when they lowered them and put that stupid looking front bumper on a few years ago.

I completely agree....my next vehicle...regardless of it's a jeep or not (I'd like to get another jeep) will be a CRD or diesel whatever.

I like the gas engines, diesel cost to much, can't just find it anywhere and gas is faster and I like performance and modding ebgines. For you diesel lovers, maybe the new kk will get the v6 diesel like the GC, since it will be a little bigger. Also a diesel option wouldn't be a bad idea for the new wrangler as well.
