Had to get rid of my lib as it allways felt like a girls rig. Picked up a Commander with a hemi and Quad 2. Love it. Next is my 4' lift and 33's. See ya out there......Gals

Hmmm...a girls rig...and YOU bought it...and you drove it. Say hello to George Takei, George Michael, and Boy George when you take them for a ride in your commander.

I invite you to bring that commander out on some trails here in Colorado. We'll unwedge you from between the trees or come get you after you roll off the narrow mountain ledges. We'll be proud to look upon the body damage too.

Just goes to show... the more you shout how masculine you are the more the opposite is true.
Me, well I'm going to pick up my dayglow yellow corvette today! only to compensate for driving such a girlie jeep.

p.s. anyone know who makes a 4" lift for a Z06?
:D

Why not a Rubicon? I see the commander just as much as a grocery getter....w/ MORE POWER!! Yea you got the engine now...glad that you feel better! I see just as many women driving commanders as Libertys!

If you really want to wheel...I'd have taken a Rubicon over anything else anyday.
Just my .02 worth.

Sounds more confused  than anything. You know what they say about guys who have to buy big trucks  . Do they sell the Commander in "Viagra Blue"?

I see very few men driving Commanders around here. Most are very manuicured women talking on cell phones going to the spa or to pick up kids with it rollin on 22s. The Libertys see more offroad service from my viewpoint. The thought had occurred to me that a lot of women drive Liberties and then I decided I'll drive what I want whether or not others like it.

Shortly after posting I was talking to my friends about this subject today at lunch. We all know that many people consider the Liberty to be a "girls jeep". What I cant understand is how can you practically specify the lib as a girls jeep? I feel it's just as rugged as any other jeep...just a smaller version. And I'm sure that Jeep would build a diesel version for women..? Let me tell you what...women drive ALL vehicles...from Libs to commanders...to lifted diesel trucks and fast sports cars. Women will drive whatever...it's hard to specify a vehicle as a "womens only" vehicle unless its meant for women from the factory or it's a women's color. And like Darby said...some guys are making up for what they lack when they purchase the "larger" vehicles.

I would love to see those "macho guys" in their quad-cab, long bed, 12" lifted, 44" tired, 1000ft-lbs turbo diesel powered rigs even get into 25% of the places that we can with our XJ & KJ.

Ohhhhh! I especially love those silver hearse handles on the back gate of the Commander Limited that is so man-ly!
Yes, and one GUY driving in a commander Limited with Dubs, up a side by side up hill was going to be so cool as to smoke me. As his gasser engine was straining with revs, all I had to do was give a little toe into the CRD accelerator and he ate my Diesel smoke!

Man you got to love stereotypes, i cant tell you how much crap i get from brother, he drives a durango. its got bald bfg at's flowmaster, a body mount brush guard and 2 kc lights. some how he thought he could make it through everything i could. so i took him down wet logging roads, while 80% of the time i was in 2wd he got stuck twice. the feeling was priceless when he was like hey im stuck come winch me out.

Havent heard grocery getter since then.

P.S. recon, may not have time to wheel. you know taking the kids to soccer practice, PTA, sunny D, goldfish, and all that masculine stuff! haha and enjoy your gas bill..

Post subject:  Good for you

I remember when the Lib came out and all the Cj owners bashed it as not a real jeep. You all suported the new KJ....And now it is the same thing. There is a new rig on the block and the hypocrits speak. Ive owned a CJ 7, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, KJ, and a Commander. Dont talk to me about wheeling and capability of rigs. I would never get the new KK as I am 6'4 and 250lb of twisted steel and xes appeal. Have fun and dont forget to douche.

Recon, No one said anything about the wheeling capability of the Commander, plenty of ribbing about masculinity problems, and how the commander is too big to fit between some rocks, but not really any comments about capability. So where are these hyprocrits you speak of?
