Sorry, it was twilight out so I couldn't snap a picture. In person it looks pretty good - not as long as the commander but I still am uncertain about the headlight setup. Anyway - it's about identical to my Liberty as far as ride height is concerned.

Just wanted to share!

Black one? I caught a look of it on I-75 today.

The more I think about it and see, the new liberty will be all right. The comander has grown on me, they look really good lifted. With the comanders future in dout, at least the liberty will carry on the old xj look. I supose the new lib will be more fitting as the cherokee's replacement as it will look more like it. However, the kj will have it's own place in jeep history as one unique little suv, kinda glad I have an original, there's only one kj, 03-07. You mean 02-07?

Yeah, I was right up on University drive (by Oakland U.) on my way to see the in-laws when I saw it. It was black and looked not so bad...

I sorta agree with you all. I was taking a good look at a commander at the gas station and then comparing it to the Liberty, and the spy photos. The front end lines are sooo close when comparing the Commander and the KK. And I always sort of liked the commander... So like I said before...I will reserve a total bashing of the new KK until after I see the real thing. I just pray that the front suspension is the same as ours.

We know it's IFS for sure... probably identical to the Nitro with different spring rates and alignment properties.

 ...I feel the same way....the commander has definitly grown on me and I really wouldn't mind owning one minus the size. The liberty may be just what we want...I take back ALL of what I said earlier in my posts...I really wasn't liking it at first but I really feel like I said too much because when they do come out....I'll definitly be looking hard at it. I may have to re-consider...

IF I ever needed to get another Jeep - I think I would be more inclined to investigate a fully loaded Patriot rather than a slightly larger Liberty. Not because of the looks, but because of the gas mileage.

come on Marlon are you just gonna tease us like that? If you actually got pics of the new KK's suspension certainly you got some more?

EDIT: Wait, thats a nitro isnt it. Whats up with that Lower Ball joint is it just the pic making it look like that or is the whole spindle actually different?

I can't wait to see the front suspension...maybe some parts could be changed out with what we have and help a few things...Lower Control Arm, Spindle, ect...ya' never know

Also looks like OzLtd needs to lower his rack and pinion a bit from the looks of the Tie Rod

Well it looks like they put the control arm back on top of the balljoint where it belongs. So at the very least the spindle is different.

click on the pic that shows the brake disk and caliper without the wheel, and turn the brightness up on your screen. Who was it thats going to crawl under there and take pics for me?

dont give up on gas mileage on your liberty! almost anything is effective, and if you do everything, you will be over 20 mpg all the time. i constantly drive in the mountains at altitude and mine barely falls under 20.

I hear all of these claims about great gas mileage - but I live in a city with poor traffic and many potholes. My EVIC average mileage right now is 15.1 since January 1st 2007. By the end of the year I think I should be able to get back near 16 MPG
