Post subject:  KK trail report in Indy

Hey guys, Just wanted to give a first hard trail report from Indy. We are at the Red Bird Off Road park with the media doing our trail runs in the new KK and man they are working great. The traction control works outstanding on the trail and the hill descent control is unreal. I do not even see a need for lockers with the traction control...just a little gas to put torque to the wheels and it locks the spinning wheel to get you moving. Works very well. The media guys were shocked at how well the new KK works off road. Sorry but I can not post pictures yet or I will be in deep doo-doo for dang sure but you know me...I will sneak some in for sure for you guys. I am very impressed with the new KK and it has some outstanding features. In low range, first gear we were crawling down a VERY steep, slick hill at 1.5 mph without any help from the brakes at all. This control feature is outstanding and I am sure it will show up on a lot of other rigs as well. Keep checking back for a few sneak shots...Sorry I need to keep my job so give me a few days but you guys are going to be very happy with the new rig coming out for dang sure. Later...Clint

Your own personal opinion since you have had first hand driving experience in both the kj and kk. Which one overal performs better offroad stock?

And how about approach and departure angles? Does the spare tire seem to be a major issue? Any noticeable differences in flex? I'm extremely curious.... :D

I'm sure Clint would have loved nothing better, but unfortunately with non-disclosure agreements and whatnot it's probably better that he didn't.

Thanks Corwyyn, You hit the nail right on the head. I have a job to do and some things doing this kind of work I have to be very careful doing. I know I post a lot of pictures before they really should be out to the public but my heart is always for the LOST group. I will provide pictures and more info as soon as I can. Thanks for understanding. Later...Clint

Thanks for the great update Clint. I understand all about NDA's so I won't bug you about things...unless they dropped any hints about a CRD version.

Hey guys, I am going to get in big time trouble for posting this but thought you needed to at least check out the underside. The LOST group needs to be able to keep track of things for dang sure right... Can't really post any thing else for right now but I have a lot of other info coming soon. Hey Cowcatcher... a hint is in the pictures but I really can't say anything. Man I am going to hear about this tomorrow for sure. Later...Clint

Wow, that looks kinda familiar! You mean to tell me they let you go out with only an engine skid and nothing under the tranny pan? Shame on them :P And I can tell a gas tank skid from an earlier model just won't fit on this one 8)

Thanks for sharing Clint, hope they don't chew your neck down to a bloody stump
