ok, after reading this thread, I'm confused. What's the problem with your parking brake boot Digger? Did the zipper unzip, or break? or is the problem the cut across the back of the boot? Or is there two problems?

I know that the zipper doesn't have a tab on it to zip it back up, but I'd think you could do that with your fingers, or maybe make a little hook out of a paperclip. I haven't looked at mine, so I'm assuming there are a couple of holes there where the tab would normally be.

there are two problems, one is the crack in the boot and two, the zipper blew up below the zipper thing....it you tried to zip it back up, you would still have a gap at the consel

I wish that could be done, but there is no pig tail so to speak below the center so its a no go...its kinda like when the zipper goes on you pants and the zipper is all the way up

Check with a Boot shoe repair shop and they have heavy duty sowing machines for boots they can normally supply the zipper or you can search one out since the dealership has a back order situation maybe they would accept the bill and reimburse you. Just a thought and maybe get a better zipper at the same time.

All lot of dry cleaner places do this type of repair, But wait doesn't warranty cover this???

First off, LMAO @ your Pics. the first looked a little risque'.
And 2. I went to the dealer, and they had to order an entire center console for me. They said that it (the boot) doesn't come by itself. It took about a week, and ten mins later the problem was solved.

Hey Digger, did you ever get the part in? I noticed the other day I have a problem with mine, at least I'm sure it's not by design. The leather covering doesn't stay around the base of the plastic handle on the brake. It looks like it should, and I can pull it up just enough to make it fit around the lip at the base of the handle, but moving the brake at all causes the leather covering to slip off. From what I can see of your first pics it looks like yours is like this too. Either the leather is just a little too short or something, but the way it looks now it's like a sock that keep sliding down, and if I pull it down any further I can see the bare metal of the brake.

To those who haven't been playing with their emergency brake you probably don't have a hot clue of what I'm talking about, but I bet if you look you'll find something similar.
