Post subject:  Lifetime "bumper to bumper" warranty

Did anyone purchase the optional lifetime B2B warranty with their new KK? The lifetime powertrain warranty would cover most of the major areas, but seeing as mine will have the nav system and the sky slider, I'm thinking bumper to bumper might be worth it, especially because I tend to keep my vehicle until it has been run into the ground.

My local dealer is quoting $2750.00 for the bumper to bumper. I know that most warranties are negotiable at the time of purchase, and I usually try to get the "super platinum unlimited 5-star warranty" thrown in for free when I buy a new vehicle. For those who have been through the buying process, can you tell me if this $2750.00 is a fixed price by Chrysler, or is it negotiable, like most other warranties?

Ah... lifetime warranty. Oh that we lowly Canadians got such a thing! I'm hoping the fact that Jeep is offering a lifetime warranty on their powertrain means they are rock solid, and hopefully I won't need to worry as the years roll by.

If you go to: https://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/index.cfm

They offer warranties through their dealership (Topor Dodge) and sell genuine daimler chrysler warranties, thus it lets you base what you can negotiate for your price. $1,749 is the price I'm getting for lifetime Max Care for the KK. Just put in your info and they will give you a price quote. I used this site to get a match for my 7/100 warranty. I told them that this dealer online is offering the warranty at this price...can you match. The finance guy did some calculations on his computer and he said he could match. I got it for $1250 because the site e-mailed me a special $75 off if I get it by a certain time. I told this to the finance guy and he matched the offer plus no tax!

Just got this e-mail from them:

John, thank you for your interest in ChryslerWarrantys.com!

For a limited time only... Save an additional $185 off our already highly discounted price.
This offer is only valid through April 11.

To take advantage of this offer, save this promotional code: 49991
It is required to take advantage of the additonal savings and is only valid with purchases from our site!

This is the same plan that you may have been offered by your local dealer at a much higher price. These plans are honored by every Chrysler, Dodge and and Jeep dealer in the United States, Canada and Mexico. We are so confident in our low prices that we display them on the site for the world to see!

You could have gotten it for $1000 less than what you paid for.
