Can one of our Canadian Brothers take a couple pics of what the Northern Edition badges look like? Being that I live in Minnesota and the fact that the Libby will be headed north to the cabin every weekend in the summer its only fitting that perhaps it should have the Northern Edition badges on it (Plus the wife named the Libby after the town our cabin is by). Perhaps a part number too if possible.

I'm back home from school next Thursday (forever... graduating year... YESSS!), I will snap a couple of pictures of my KK and it's North Edition badge. My initial searches for pictures of them/ones for sale, although limited, have turned up nothing useful. I can make enquiries at the dealership when I'm back in town too.

Did you snap some pictures yet? I'd love to see what the badges look like on our vehicle...

Man I so need to find a part number and a way to get a couple of those.

Is there only the two ? One on each front door or is there on on the lift gate as well?

No just two, one on each side. There isn't one on the back.

So, does the "Northern Edition" have any other special features? Besides the badge?

Geez guys - hear about Canada much down there?

It's a Canadian-only configuration and fits in between the Sport and Limited models.

Here's a link which shows the differences between the models: http://www.jeep.ca/en/liberty/.

I imagine you could probably buy North Edition badges from Jeep and put them on your own vehicle, but it wouldn't make a lot of sense. Kind of like putting on Rubicon badging on a non-Rubicon equipped vehicle.

Edit: Speaking of badging - couldn't help but notice it's in English only. I wonder if there is a French version for Quebec residents.

From the brochure:

"The new Jeep Liberty North Edition makes it easy [getting a vehicle that suits you and your budget] by bringing together the perfect blend of popular features. We start with Liberty Sport, then add a six-speaker sound system, fog lamps, fold-flat front passenger seat and deep-tint windows. But that's not all. You also get a compass and temperature display, 115 V AC power outlet, cargo cover, speed control, carpeted fron and rear floor mats and roof rack side rails."

That's a little easier than looking through Jeep.ca - which is definitely not as well designed as Jeep.com.

I agree with you Gimme... That's why I was wondering what the other features are. Gonna check out that link in a minute.. I'm guessing daytime running lights (on ALL Canadian cars/suvs I believe), but what else and is it worth it (the $$ of the option) in your opinion?

~hoser

Oops.. Nevermind.. Just read the rest of the thread. Hey, I have all that stuff! Gimme my badge!! JK

I took a look at the North Edition for a few minutes but realized the Limited had a lot more of what I needed (read: wanted).

(And yeah, bigmooze, I agree - the Jeep.ca site is nothing as good as the Jeep.com site. It's better than it was 6 months ago, but it's still pretty sad.)

I opted for the North Edition because it included everything I wanted without the chrome. I appreciate that many of you may like chrome accents, but this has never been to my taste. That's the beauty of living in a free society....each to his/her own. :D

P.S. Does anyone know why Canada got its own special edition? Couldn't the U.S. versions include a "Yankee" edition? Oh wait, that may not sit too well with some Southern folks. :)
