Put additional 2000 miles on my Liberty. Great ride as I was the driver for the complete trip except for 1.5 hours which I let my wife drive for the first time. My mileage on the highway ranged from 18 to 22. It appears above 72 mph the mileage starts dropping but at 72 I finally reached 22 and this was on some good hills getting from Washington I95) up to I-81 at Winchester, VA and continuing to PA. The seats were very comfortable for the front passengers even though the Rear passengers were a little snug. The vehicle was fully loaded with a platform that went on my Towing hitch that had approximately 100 lbs on it. It was a great ride and I am ready to do it again. |

Glad it did that great for you!! Do you have just a sun roof or the slider? |

I have the sunroof. Was a little wary of the slider living in Central New York and its lake effect snows. |

Looks like pretty good mileage for 72 mph. How many miles on a fillup did you go? The new liberty has a smaller tank than my old liberty by one gallon, so I don't expect to attain the same miles to a tank. Besides my old liberty was diesel. Last tank I filled up with 16.30 gallons to full, and drove 270 miles, did have fuel left. That runs 16.50 mile per gallon with only 300 miles on the engine at the time. My inside fuel mileage sensor said 17.8 miles per gallon, I did it by gas fill and it was 16.50. I will keep doing it to see what is correct. If I can get 300 miles to a tank full and still have some fuel left, I will be happy. By the way I also chose the moon roof because I live in NH where you would only use the slider a few months out of a year. I prefer the open glass feeling. I noticed that my Liberty is very bright inside with the silver limited extra's on the dash and the moon roof letting the sun in. I love this vehicle. |
