Have you tryed to run your AC with the tent attached? Just wondering how it works with the ac on. If you could feel it in the tent or not..It would be nice when camping on those hot summer days.

it says not to run the car with the attached....but it you attach a hose to your exhaust, it could work

Thats what I was thinking. Attach a hose to the exhaust to divert the fumes. Then you could have the AC on & literally "be cool" on those hot days. Then again with gas prices you would be paying the price.

would the Liberty AC even begin to cool the inside of that tent? It has a tough enough time just taking care of the inside of the Liberty. I mean it does it, but you pretty much have to run it on fan speed 3 or 4 and on recirc when it's hot.

if you're going camping, and your're going to have a lot of equipment anyway, get one of those portable AC units and a small generator to power it. You'd come out way ahead on the cost of gas also.

My AC on my KJ cools in just a few minutes. One of the best AC's I've had on a vehicle. The portable AC idea is a good one aswell.

Digger did that just come out? I don't remember seeing one this spring. How much did that bad boy cost you?

Very nice, Digger. Care to share more details? That doesn't look like the standard 10x10 that Jeep normally offers with the Liberty.

How big is that, how many does it sleep, what else is inside and - most of all - how much did it set you back?

That's a cool tent. I'm glad to see they are keeping that Jeep tent going. How well does it stand up to rain storms?

Does the tent hit the exhaust pipe where it wraps under the truck? Wouldn't the tent melt if the exhaust pipe was hot?

Is the KK's AC drastically different than the KJ's? I can hop in my KJ on a 98 degree day, crank it up to #4, and be shivering within minutes. I'm with nosnorb_808, I'd be hard-pressed to find a more powerful AC.

ok to sum it all up.. if i remember right, its 15x15, 2 separate rooms that have a zippered divider plus the jeep, yes it does hit the exhaust, but i will fix that soon  , it with stood a constant 40 mph wind with a down poor all night. it has like 13 stake down points, 4 side vents plus a vent in the door, a separate rain fly, 5 poles total, 4 for the main body and one to form the top at the jeep end... best of all it was only a hundred bucks!!

oh and for the ac, i Have finally found a tsb that i will post this week

Wow - the 10x10 retails for around $286, so that's a great price! And that's in the U.S. - I'm sure here in Canada it would be twice the price!

Any idea if this was a special limited to this dealer? About the only downside I could see with that tent setup is I would think rain would tend to collect in the "dip" after the Liberty hatch, but from what you said it sounds like it's not a problem.

Hmmn... I might have to check Google Maps to find out if it's worth the drive from Manitoba to Colorado... :)
