| Post subject: | Front-end knocking |
In the past I have had problems with tie rod ends needing to be replaced on older vehicles. I have a couple of questions: 1. On average (if it is possible to say), how long would tie rod ends and associated parts last before needing replacement. 2. I have noticed that there is some kind of "knocking" - not a clunk, but a knock, if you can imagine that, occasionally when driving over small bumps/pot holes in the road. Is this normal? - I'm thinking that there might be some slight expected noise as the suspension quickly compresses and releases when driving over small bumps. What do you guys think? Thanks. |

Thanks. depending on the types of roads your driving on, they should last a very long time. and your front end "knock, mine does the same thing, i just attribute it to the moving of the suspension |
