Teraflex owner has just informed me that they have a 2" spacer lift. See below:

Spent a lot of energy to make the bump stops for this kit because with out them the Jeep suspension doesn’t function well under compression. The parts are Poly Urethane and steel, nothing exotic. We determined the lift height as the most lift with the least negative collateral effect. It also has bump stops. 1301208 is the part number and ready to ship those now.

Looks just like the rusty's lift :?: and if one person with a floor jack is doing the work, your looking at more than 2.5 hours for install... However i will give credit where credit is due and say that including the bump stops is very very nice

would that be a good thing? Daystar's spacer are on the bottom ( a good thing) and revtek's spacers are on the top (a bad thing) and rusty's and teraflex??

Another valid option for the KK.

I'm still a bit concerned with the brake lines though. All of these large after-market companies say their lifts are fine with stock lines, yet a few very credible members here say that ANY amount of lift needs longer lines. :?:

I'll have to get under my Jeep and make my own decision on this one. Got some money in the bank now, time to start doing stuff...

the teraflex is be a fairly good lift design, but lets hope that the holes are drilled better

Someone removed my previous post and my take on this but I will keep posting

Its an OTT lift, was bad for KJs so why do you think its better for yours, just because it includes bumpstops??????? :? :? :?

Can not see spending 25,000 for a vehicle and then getting the cheapest lift out there, wait for a while until a good well designed lift comes out that addresses the brake lines and everything

Oh and if this gets deleted I will be back!

What made it bad for the KJ? I'm new to the Jeep/Off Road scene, but not to the car hobby... so I can handle a technical conversation on why it's bad for the KJ and potentially still bad for the KK.

Thanks for the info
Nick

An OTT lift places all the stress at the top of the strut, also the way it is designed if you do not have the bumpstops in place it will blow your struts in no time at all. This kit mentioned here does include the bumpstops, which is good because most do not, but it is still just a band aid fix to make it work.
On the KJs with an OTT the struts would fail sometimes in a few thousand miles, and also the UBJs would go. Of course thats how I got my ARB bumper so cheap, college kid, limited budget, installed OTT lift, struts went out they replaced them, UBJs went one broke driving down the road, his Dad removed everything and sold it to me, telling me that there was no way to lift a Liberty

Only way that someone got it (an OTT) to work was with longer struts from a mini van and lots of bumpstop, but he never offroaded any at all

Its cheap to do, but I guess my point is do you want to spend the money now for something that you may have to replace with something better later on if you keep yours long term
