 Post subject: SteelCrap's taillight cages

Well after spending 102.00 i received my taillight cages. then i put them on as instructed the first thing i noticed as that there are brackets for supports i remember saying to myself thats good i dont have to worry about rattles but then when i tried to put them on it had crappy little screws to hold them into the cages and it wouldent go in flush i said whatever and planed to fix them once i made sure fitment was right.......... so i finish the install and think hey they look pretty good, until i go to close the gate not really thinking it out i let it fall as normal big mistake apparently when you install the "support brakets" they dont mention it makes the lights not fite correctly so now i have 4 nice deep scratches in my gate good stuff right. so i took them off and now im just stuck with that i plan on sending them back on Monday. just a thought for anyone buying SteelCraft take into consideration that they make a crap product and there customer support blows when something actually goes wrong. also another bit of info my friend also has a kk he bought the step bars from SteelCraft fitment was not all that great plus i received one of the cages and it was scratched it was also rusted can someone tell me how stainless steel rust never any that ive seen.

After a couple beers and a belt sander they fit with no rub. steelcraft still kinda sucks maybe they should fire all there r&d people.

yep you can never expect aftermarket to fit right 100% all the time, sometimes it just takes some of your own fabing to make sure it looks and fits right. Got any pictures?
