Post subject:  OEM Stock Wheel Rim Dimensions?

I'm beginning to look at custom wheels and am having trouble locating specs for the OEM stock wheel rims for the Liberty KK. Can someone please advise specs for the various stock KK wheel rims?

    1. The raw outer dimensions (e.g. 16"OD x7"W, 17"OD x 7.5"W, etc.). Does the rim width differ between the factory 16" and 17" options?
    2. The bolt pattern (e.g. 5 x 4.5")
    3. The backspacing (e.g. 4.5", 5.5", etc.). Does this vary between the factory 16" versus 17" options?
    4. Anything else I need to dimensionally evaluate aftermarket rim options.

I apologize if this was posted somewhere else in the forum as I have been searching and have not found OEM rim info for the kK (and am not sure if it varies from the KJ). Thanks in advance.

Thank you Digger.

Anyone know if the dims on the 17" OEM KK wheel rims are the same or different from the 16" Digger provided? I'm wondering if the 17" wheel is wider and thus if it has a different backspace.

Not having my KK yet, I'm trying to understand the full range of options while hunting for aftermarket wheel options. I'm anxious to hear what increased tire size, and corresponding wheel rim specs, people use that are installing lifts.

Thanks Digger. If the 17's are also 7" wide, then I'll assume they've got the same backspace as the 16's.

How are you doing on determining what tire size you're gonna go for?

I just checked on my spare and the 16'' have at least 5.5 backspacing

Thanks Boblemoche for the verification.

Crud, that may mean I have to go back and restart my custom wheel research for options. :(

The stock KK 16x7 Keystone wheels have 40mm offset which is 5.59"s of backspacing.

Just look at the back of your stock rim. All the info will be on the back of the spokes.

The main thing that you need to know is that the bolt pattern is 5x114.3 and the stock offset is +40. You want to look at rims with a lower offset then stock. The lower you go the more the rim will stick out. A wheel with a +30 offset will get you just about flush with the fenders. Also the lower the offset the wider and the bigger the tire you can get. I had a +25 offset on my wheels I was able to fit a tire over 10" wider and 30" tall with NO lift.

Also on the side note the stock 18's are only 7" wide with a +40 offset.

I am enjoying this thread..
I need a pop corn eating Emoticon.......

I have the 18's and I want 16's so i can get a better tire.
I am learning allot with these threads.

Once all the data is collected, i think there should data sheet made.

Mike's info about offset is great..

knowing you can fit in a wider wheel and tire combo with no lifts is nice.
