Attention all Liberty KK owners, I've heard from Rocky Road Outfitters in Salt Lake City, Utah, and they advise they're planning to release KK products, but see below:

We have some components, but need Beta testing. If you are in the Salt Lake
City area and would like a couple thousand $ of free parts, we do need test
vehicles. Or if you know anyone in our area... have them contact me.

RRO,

I have an '09 Liberty KK on order that I should have in late February. I would like to know if you plan to release any products for the 2008+ Liberty KK as you have for the 2002-2007 Liberty KJ.

Thank you,
....

So.............does anyone with a Liberty KK (2008+) live near Salt Lake City that they'd be willing to take them up on their offer? You'd benefit as mentioned above and being the first with the developed aftermarket products. The rest of us would be indebted to you.

If you're interested, please email Glenn at the gwbuild@rocky-road.com email address listed. Now, who's gonna step up?

I see this as a chance to be a part of making sure the products they put out for the KK are quality, solid products. If they were to take your KK and put something on it for BETA testing and it sucked, let them know, tell them you have access to the many people here on LOST and will let them know if their products aren't up to snuff. Maybe they would do things right with the stuff they come out with.

Man...that guy has such a lousy reputation. Every board I go on complains about all aspect of his business. At the same time, when you visit his site, he does have a wealth of products and claims he is the authority on Liberty vehicles. Further, he points out flaws in other lift kits.

On one hand, I tend to side with customers if that many are complaining. Further, I'm not a big fan of a company bashing a competitors product....

On the other hand, he must be doing something right because he is making more and more products and you can't do that unless someone is buying them.

Have you ever bought something that broke, fell apart, didn't do what it was supposed to do, or was otherwise a waste of your money. Did you go back? Lots of people buy something ONCE from a company, and never go back.

Not to comment on anyone's company, because I have never dealt with this particular company, but getting a person to buy once is never as hard as getting them to buy a second time if your product isn't any good.

Hey guys, I am new to LOST but I have some news.

I just dropped off my 560 mile 08 Liberty off at RRO today. There are going to do a 3inch lift, slidders, diff guard, and some other goodies. Hopefully everything works out well!

I will keep you guys posted on the news, I should have it back with in one to two weeks.

First, welcome to the board and this section of KK enthusiasts.

Second, that is great news, not only for you but hopefully for the KK aftermarket. If you can, please post some photos of progress as well as the final results. :)

You dog! That sounds great. I know RRO gets some bad reviews here but I really like the looks of their sliders. And I don't mind someone pointing out weak points in someone else's product. Truth in advertising, you know.

They get bad reviews everywhere and there products are not very quality, they look good but that's about it.

Best way for them to improve is to be honest and direct with them. Let them know that you will be reporting all your experiences with us here on LOST and if things go well, they'll get a lot of good publicity, if not, then they'll end up with more negative. Hopefully they'll build some quality products for the KK.

Actually, I haven't heard many complaints about the quality of their products, just their dismal service. Their OTT kit is the main exception, but some people have had good luck with it, and other companies have come out with similar kits since then, so you can't really blame them for continuing to sell it.

My RRO combo lift worked perfectly for almost 5 years before my coils finally got old and started sagging too much. It's an excellent low-budget design.

But, having said all of that, their service and support have always been pretty bad. Somehow they stay in business though--they've been selling KJ parts for a long, long time.

Can't wait to see what they have to say and bash about my sliders, since mine are the first and only KK sliders in the world right now. This will be fun, where's the popcorn.

This is the week that they are working on it and I should have my KK back by the first of next week. I talked to Glen for a while after I dropped my ride off, funny enough he did mention about their service being a negative thing with his company. He said that back orders got the best of them. I will post pics soon!

The three things I know I am getting are the Rockfather kit, Super sliders, and differential cover. He did mention that there will be some other goodies along with it too.

It's sad though, I might be too poor to put some nice meaty tires

Got a email by Chris from RRO:

Right now the rock rails are done and installed, I am doing the rockfather II lift kit and I will be testing front upper control arms or a-arms that may or may not stay on the vehicle I will have to decide when I am testing. We thought about doing a roof rack but I am just super busy and did not really have time. But if you can leave it here for next week or bring it back sometime then a roof rack is something else we would like to do. Also I am doing the lift today and will have to get your jeep into the alignment shop on Wednesday so Thursday would be the soonest it could be ready for you.

I like free stuff so the Jeep is staying there for another week. Post more info as I receive it.
