Where have you installed your radar detector? I don't know if it is because I have a sunroof or not, but the bulged area with the reading lights in the middle front of the roof, as seen below, doesn't seem to leave much elevation or space to the top of the (fat and not very adjustable uConnect) rearview mirror. I'm going to get another ValentineOne radar/laser detector which is probably about 1" thick and it needs to have a clear view of the front and the rear to operate optimally.
So, where have any of the rest of you installed radar detectors in your KKs? Thanks for any input, info or ideas. |

Mines suction cupped to the windshield. Not fancy but does the trick |

I run the remote display with my valentine. It's been too cold yet to go out and run the wires. (I miss my heated garage). I plan to put the remote in front of the fuel guage on the small lip there. The detector itself will either get stuck to the windshield just left of the mirror or I was looking to velcro it to the top left side of the mirror. There seem to be 2 small vents on top of the mirror and I need to make sure that blocking one of them would not cause a problem. |

I mount my V1 to the right of the rear view mirror. It is set up so the mirror's pivot arm is as straight out from the window it can go, then I mount the V1 so the volume knob is behind the mirror but the radar lens is to the right of the mirror. I find this to be least intrusive to my passengers and myself while providing the best coverage. I too run with the remote to keep the V1 as invisible to outsiders as possible |

I mount my detectors right in the drivers seat. Make sure the optical system can see all the mirrors and over the front hood. it works well... This system can adjust the pedals to match the safe speed limit. it also can look out for and avoid moving objects. Really, thereis no need for these. Just donot speed. You know it waste Gas and your saving account as it is.... |

As a rule, I don't speed. I run mine for those small towns where they want to catch you going 31 in a 30 zone. |

I didn't realize that the KK's whimpy V-6 was able to get it to a speed above the posted limit. |

Well MOM here... Well is it that hard to ask folks not to speed... You know speed kills.. but they never say high speed or low speed.. So i think both... the right speed saves lives To help answer the real question at hand.. Mount it where your eyes can see it it if goes off. I like above the rear view mirror my self. not sure if it effects other items near that. Or on the Dash it self. |

Let's just say I'm used to such tools. Even with such tools, I still typically wind up with 1-2 tickets per year (that I typically plea bargin down to non-moving violations as long as the county/city doesn't have a rule against such). If it weren't for my ValentineOne, I'd probably have 6-10 tickets per year. |

Surprisingly I got the wimpy V6 to 110 on the highway the other day ... I'm going to try and hit the max on the speedo of 120. I have a lot of straight, smooth 3 lane highways in Florida with a posted speed limit of 70. |

I will only freak, if you can get it past 143mph... I feel most drivers can safly drive at 110 to 120 with no issues. but once you get past 130 people need a bit more training... |
