spare tire size

with everyone getting bigger tires or different rims what fits underneath? can a 235/85r16 fit??

I have the upgraded stock 18" on mine which is 235/60/18 ... It's 28" ... I don't think much more can fit under there. It's a tight fit with that ...

I tried my 265/65 R17 and it's a no-go :!:

I think that the largest tire that you will find that will fit underneath would be a 29.5 which is what the Nitro 20" mount out at. If you don't plan on a hitch you may be able to squeeze a 30" but don't bet on it.

Sorry I messed up ... My stock 235/60/18 is actually 29.1" over all. I still don't think you are going to get much more to fit under there. Maybe a 30" tire???
