Well after having the soft 8s for a few months I'm tired. I'm tired of seeing them on wranglers on grands on Chevys, fords ,dodges and everything you can shake a stick or a toco at. well anyway now I'm looking for something else and I thought maybe all you guys could help I want 17 x 8 with 5 in backspacing I really want all black. I found some nice procomps but they had 4.5 and they will prolly rub after the lift and the 265/65r17 let me know what y'all think and thanks in advance

Go to your local rim shop and see what they got. You are basically asking us to rim shop for you ...

What's wrong with that we ask each other all the time to find lifts and others stuff. I'm not going to a "rim shop" because I'm not a rapper or a drug dealer and chromes for sure isent my thing.

I dont see anything wrong on rim shopping for someone else.....
If I had the knowledge I would share it with you....
Maybe its not rim shopping perse... maybe he is asking for experiences regarding different types of wheels and tires!
just My opiinion

WOW talk about ignorant stereotyping ... Where else would you like to go get rims? You local Macy's or maybe your local Cold Stone will start selling rims with your ice cream purchase ... You go to a rim shop to BUY RIMS!!!!!!!!!! They sell more then just chrome rims. You must not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I got my 16" NON CHROME rims and OFF ROAD tires from a "rim shop" ... Last time I checked rapper or drug dealer wasn't checked off on my resume.

There isn't anything wrong with asking for help but there are probably about 1000 wheels that can fall in the category you are looking for ... Would you like us to post all 1000?

Here are some places you can start to look

www.4wd.com
www.tirerack.com
www.discounttire.com
www.discounttiredirect.com
www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com
www.victoriatire.com
www.thewheelconnection.com

wow goggle is so hard to use ...

what is the problem here Mike08? he asked for help and you jump on the guy and insult him? sure you can use google, but did you happen to notice he posted on this site for help? he is tired of his old wheels and is asking people with liberty's to help him look for something else.

if you don't want to help *other than posting those websites* then don't bother posting in the thread?

to the OP - wish i could post some options for ya, but i'm looking for some aswell...

I told him from the start to go to a rim that that would be his best bet ... He came on here after that with the negative attitude. There are 1000 rims that are black in 17x8. What does he want from us? Are we supposed to post all the 17X8 black wheels that are on the market? Thats going to be a very very long list. A rim shop is the best place to go and look. They will have a lot of catalogs and more computer images then we could google in an hour. He wants us to do the work for him ... Its different if he would have came on here and said "hey here is rim A B & C which do you like for my truck" but no he came on here and basically asked us to rim shop for him ...

ITS YOUR TRUCK PUT IN A LITTLE EFFORT!!!

mike...if you had stopped with the check out a local rim shop then that would be fine...he made a statement at you mainly because you had to add * You are basically asking us to rim shop for you*...that remark wasn't needed...hence made you the one with the negative attitude first...

what i got from his post was that he wanted people's opinions on what rims would look good on a liberty...not that there are thousands out there *plus 995 out of 1000 of them are ugly as sin*...

My whole "asking us to shop for you" was supposed to be sarcastic ... but I forget that you can't really show that on the computer. My bad ...

I only started to get snooty when he made his ignorant comment "I'm not going to a "rim shop" because I'm not a rapper or a drug dealer"

 Chill guys.....let's keep it civil for all on the board. If you feel you have to take something personally and can't let it go, then you may want to consider PMing the other person to try to work it out in private.

Obviously wheel aesthetics is a personal choice to each his own. Some may want something no other has while others would like some reassurance or opinions or help brainstorming ideas.

Personally, I can understand posting here looking for info on wheel rim sizing that works in various KK configurations such as various rim widths, back-spacing, tire sizes and lift heights. That's why I started the KK Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Survey thread.

Wow here I'll phrase it so no one gets mad/ sarcastic and thank you for the support guys. I'm looking for a rim that's all black in 17x8 with 5" of backspacing I've found one in the 3 weeks I've been looking on google and tire rack and about ten others sites and it wasent really that nice. The reason I'm asking on here is because we app got liberys and it's easy to imagine what it would look like when you got the same truck. So dose anyone know of a nice black rim that would be different in a good way. If this bothers anyone in any way I will send them a soft toco asap via ups ground. Thank you and goodnight. ps sour cream is extra!

I'm hungry ... I'll take that taco

Does you have a 4x4 shop around you? Check them out

The reason I say "rim shop" is because our wheels (size and backspacing) fall into the "Tuner" category. A local rim yes will have big chrome rims but they will also know where to find 17x8 with that backspacing you want. You need to look into "Tuner" style wheels.

KK, have you checked out Black Rock wheels? looks like they have several in 17 inch size and different styles than the regular Soft 8s. Not all black, but the Type D, #909 looks cool, or would on mine
