Is it true that it has 2" less ground clearance than KJ?

isnt the 8.25 the lowest point on a kj / kk

you have to account for spring sag on your measurements. The front diff moves quite a bit after the suspension settles

I checked around a bit and Cars.com states that KJ has 9.5 " and KK has 7.8 "
I didn't think there could be this big difference..

I doubt there is that much difference overall mabe at a particular point yes but not overall. however , I must say that the KK gas tank is in the way just like the jk and every newer veichles and a gas tank skid is mandatory for offroad use

My measurements were taken at about 5000 miles. I have other measurements for the rubicon (245/75r16), a tacoma (non-4x4) and a 1985 landcrusier that I took to compair and figure out what height I need in a lift.
