ive been thinking about doing this but kinda worried about water getting in anyone done this?

I've done it on other cars. If you take your time and do it right you shouldn't have any issues. An extra beed of silicon around the housing when your done wouldn't be a bad idea ...

You can find a lot of how-to's online with tips and tricks to do it right. Just make sure you have all youe ducks in a row before you attempt it.
