Well Today i got in my first reck ever. Heres the story I was comming to a stop sign and the guy infront of me was pulling threw the stop a car cut him off and wam bam thank you kk he got my jeep up his fusion, it was about a 5 mph hit and nothing too bad put a little circle in the front bumper and a little circle in his rear bumper but......... since im such a lucky guy he says hes gonna go to the er so my insurence is probly gonna be threw the roof now it really sucks too because i was only paying 80 a month with full tort not any more i guess im really razzed. well anyway any ideas about bumper im guessing it will cost about 1500 for a new bumper does anyone think i could get one made for that kinda like an arb or maybe like a bob bumper lol that would be awsome but the chances of someone actually doing it are prolly slim to none. |

I wouldn't think that Bob would turn down $1500 USD for a bumper. But, who knows! If it is just a little circle, keep the money - screw the bumper! Just tell yourself you were going to add a hole there anyway..... |

I remebered when my friends door was keyed it was 1200 so I figured color matching a whole new bumper plus the cost of a bumper. |

is the "little circle" in your bumper a hole or a dent? if its just a dent or a crack a good body shop can repair it. check with some body shops to see what your options are. if they can repair it you can save a few bucks and not put it through insurance. |

Well I come up with less than 703.6 at list price and labor or 745.6 at vendor price for parts and labor. Now your paint and body labor may be more, but not 800 bucks more $192 for a recon bumper (vendor price $226) $131 for the absorber under the bumper (vendor price $139) $115, 2.5 hours for R&I bumper+absorber (@ 46.00 an hour) $165.6 for paint time (2.6 for color and 1.0 for clear coat @ 46.00 an hour) $100~ bucks for paint ( I had my front bumper, rear bumper & lift gate painted @ a cost of 324.80 for paint) |

ps pretty sure this was a run on and there is prolly alot of errors so dont complain about it lol I feel for ya... I have seen 15 D8T bull dozer in the last two weeks and all of them have need valve lash. It takes 5 hours to R & I the side panels, turn the engine over and run lash on 6 cylinders.. it sucks big ones. As far as the piece under it, it is the absorber. I don't know where the hole is, but you could do that little light bar thing they sell. oh and grammar was never my best subject. Thank you who ever invented spell check |

I have had the same thought to, but I think the raise section on the sides would block the fog lamps on the KK. I have tried to contact TJM but nothing yet. |

I think it will go something like this: (Which is why I haven't done it yet, either) First: They'll look at your KK. Then they'll look at you. Then they will look at the KK. Then back to you. Second: They'll have that stupid smile on their face Third: They'll ask "Why?" Then it's over. No matter what reason you give them, no matter who they are. No matter how much they like Jeeps. They're laughing inside. They'll likely charge you a rediculous price because of your "rediculous idea". It sucks, but it's a good bet |
