I have noticed that a few of you have installed the E3 spark plugs and was wondering what if any results over stock ones have you had? |

If your old enough to remember the Split Fire spark plug ordeal, those E3's are just another Split Fire plug. |

I have them in mine and the only thing I have really noticed is a little smoother idle ... Your not going notice much more ... Maybe a small increase in MPG but don't expect anything drastic. |

ditto........We called them "spitfire" cause they ain't worth spit. Just use the OEM ones or Autolite Platinum. Gimmick plugs are a waste of money. Just my opinion. |

Hate to say it, but I don't think we're allowed to ask about spark plugs here (anywhere on the LOST forum). |

If the OEM wil not use them then you should not eighter.. Just use this a s rule and follow it... They have a 75% failure rate if you serach all the car forums and start adding up the data found world wide. |

Just use this a s rule and follow it... Really ... So we shouldn't add a lift kit ... or change out wheels and tires or add an intake or exhaust system or add a bigger sound system ... What you said makes NO SENSE at all ... |

Umm Mike slow down.. Edited............ the OEM's do offer things like lifts, Cold Air intakes, Turbos, super chargers and other cool things some even do offer Lift kits.. and Jeep offers a better Sound system. The acc catalog for our Jeep has things like CAI, Different wheels and upgrade speaker to boot. At one point they even had locker and other cool items on some models.... But the E3 spark plugs is not one of them.. i am sorry to say that most folk never see any of there claims over the long run of 30k miles. Also a few employess of E3 even said they have a 75% failure rate open installation, the plugs where not strong enough to be torqued down right. Then if they did pass that, they had issue if the got to hot they would melt. Sorry, but adding this and the cost per plug, you can do better. if you really want a better spark plug, start with better coils. We have a good start. I am happy with what we have. But if we had a larger, hotter spark maybe we would see more power or better use ofthe fuel used now. in a mazda miata, you can add ina Toyota COP system and get a nice boost on the spark, they also resulted in better power, better burn, and everything at a cost of around $200 invested on used parts. I am not sure what the Coil output is on the liberty.... But i do know that not all plugs are wroth $8 a piece... |

Are we going to have to separate you two? Hrogi . . . I think your statement is a bit reckless, a lot of aftermarket stuff can be beneficial to the Jeep without being offered by OEM. That has just as much to do with $$$ as it does with their viability and efficacy of individual upgrades. Just as examples, Jeep really doesn't offer anything in regards to upgraded exhaust, lockers, offroad lighting, etc. Also, their offerings with upgraded sound are EXTREMELY overpriced and are garbage anyway. They get away with some of this stuff because people tack it on to their auto loan, and don't have to come up with cash down the road. Mike . . . I have noticed a trend of you flaming people on this forum. Just take it easy, you have a good point, and others can see it, but maybe work on your delivery. Lets try to keep things civil around here. Hrogi can be a handful sometimes with his opinions, but this being on an open forum, he is certainly entitled to that. Whether you agree or disagree is really irrelevant unless it is simply posted as a viewpoint and not an argument. |

yep it's my first Lib i had a really old jeep at one point, thing was a pile but it just wouldn't die i'm just one of those jack of all trades and master of none, i've spent most of my life with a wrench in my hand or atleast sittin on a tool box watchin as a child and i can't tell you how many memories i have as a child being held my my ankles so i could reach down behind my uncles circle track car's engine to reach a bolt he dropped apparently i was the predecessor to the extendable magnet I got my lib because I wanted something that I could do many things to to make it unique, and frankly I pull my ideas from all over the place including what the KK fellas do! So naturally I gotta come spy my KJ will never be the beast that my Cheyenne was, but it's a heck of a lot more comfortable and I think with the right mods it'll come close in many aspects I just gotta save bank to give it the appropriate paint job |
