It looks like most people have been going with the JBA lift ... It's been getting great reviews.

http://jeepinbyal.com/cat-Jeep_Liberty_KK-30.aspx

Also at the bottom of the Rocky Road page they have this ...
"Thanks for your interest in our suspension systems. Due to a somewhat overwhelming demand at this time, please expect a few weeks turnaround time on the Rockfather kits and components."

Not sure how soon you want to get this done but it doesn't look like the Rock Father kit will be available for awhile ...

Tom can you elaborate for some of us that don't know what you are talking about? And I don't think there is anyone on this forum that can't rattle off every kit on the market . . . but the JBA kits are at least twice the cost of the rockfather. I know the rockkrawler kits have been panned on this forum, but I haven't heard anything on the rockfather.

Rocky Road has a very bad reputation, not just here but every 4 wheel drive forum out there has the same opinion of them. They keep in business by getting 1st time suckers(buyers),that's why they have so many option for so many vehicles. There customer service sucks, good luck trying to get your parts, feel sorry for you if they screw up your order(your never going to see your money back or your correct parts). They plianly make fun of the other competitors, then copy there products and sell them as there own(the KJ/KK UCA's is one example). There lifts are the OTT lifts that kill struts fast unless you bumpstop them correctly which they do not supply. And some of there stuff is not worth a dang anyways, looks good but doesn't really perform as intended.

tjkj - just curious, are you associated with RockLizard, or just promoting (banner) becaue you like their products.. The Gila Monster IS very bad-ass.

I just thought I'd point out, if you ARE associated with RockLizard, I'm not sure you should be complaining that Rocky Road bad mouths other companies...

Yes I would say the same thing. People ask questions about a company or product so I answer from what I have read, seen and have dealt with over the years. RRO tries but they are not on the up and up always so I try to guide people onto another path so that they do not have a bad buying experience or lose their money.
I would do the same if it was McDonalds, Firestone, Goodyear or whoever. They can tell you anything when they are trying to sell you a product. But hopefully friends tell you what they think so you can make a good informed purchase.
End of sermon

Well I guess I appologize - when I read TJKJs post, it sounded...

opinionated.

Probably more-so than it really is. I realize we all want to steer our friends/fellow KJ/KKers in the right direction. I suppose that rock lizard doesn't sell a lift, so in this regard really isn't in competition with RR.

I didn't mean to offend anyone - if I did, I'm sorry.

TJKJ.... when's that roof rack going to be available from RockLizard for our KKs? Any chance you're developing an "adapter" so that it'll work with a skyslider?

Looks like they redesigned the lift. Similar to a frankenlift but they use an upper internal spacer where the franken uses a lower. The rear in the RRO is just a spacer, nobody has had issues with spacers in the rear. I don't think anyone on this board is running the new setup. I would ask RRO what OME coils come with the kit. Most of the OME crowd here goes with the HD coils. Overall not a bad setup for the price, but you aren't going to get anything positive from this crowd.

How do you know the lift has issues? Have you ran it, do you know anybody running it?

People complain about RRs customers service. I personally have not ran into that with them.
