Hello everybody. Sorry, not sure if Russian server hosted pictures being seen here (my preview does), but nevertheless I'll try it. Please let me know if no pictures can be seen.
Here they are my Cherokee KK 70'th Anniversary edition tiny upgrades:

Laces for quick unfolding the rear seat backs from the liftgate:

Volvo handle for rolling cargo cover:
Image

Left: first aid, fire extinguisher and hazard triangle storage (close to glass):
Image
Along with cargo area additional 12 V socket.

Right: headrests and water backup storage:
Image

Rear power distribution center (can be powered either default acc and switched instant supply):
Image

Hazard sign covering hole in the headliner:

Interior, general view:
Image

Floor tunnel:
Image

USSR-USA friendship badge covering override access opening (cap lost by previous owner, being shipped in september):
Image

HUGE hazard warning lights button (here in Russia drivers often use hazard lights to communicate with each other: express regret, gratitude etc in miscellaneous road situations) and standard button too difficult to hit it rapid on the move:
Image

Eyeglasses holder covering multiple holes in the headliner located here:
Image
One can see window wind spoiler out the door glass, but I used Dodge Nitro ones, they are slightly unfit and that work is not of my proud,

Bracket for my Sony NWZ-M504 mp3 player connected to aux input.
Image

Custom handmade cargo tray cover...

...which can be partially opened for easy access to essential road stuff:
Image

My community badge:

Daytime running LED lights combined with turn lights (DRLs dim while turn signals or hazard lights are active):
Image

DRLs on/off switch:
Image

Wrangler dead pedal:
Image

Trip computer monitoring, diagnosing and (voice) warning multiple parameters (day time, on-run time, distance, speed, temperatures, voltage, rpms, fuel consumption, DTCs etc):
Image

Russian native pokemon Cheburashka:

Myself in the panoramic mirror (not angry just very tired):

My little son's cool bracelet:

Additional USB charging outlet:

Audiobooks:

FM radio:

(sorry, forgot to shot backup camera!)

Passenger side compartment soft cover:

Additional eyeglasses holder (not covering any holes) and multiple gates remote controls:

Head unit remote (steering buttons work as well):
Image

Front seat back mesh:
Image

Folding key fob:
Image

Tethered gas cap:
Image

Backup Fresnel lens:
Image

17' rims and Yokohama Geolandar AT tires (here in Russia we have to got two sets of tires - winter and summer):
Image
18' original 70'th Anniversary rims with winter Nokian spiked tires are stored at home.

That's all Folks. Sorry for interior: it's not dirty but incredibly scratched by previous owner! All done during my ten months owning. Planning to plasti-dip exterior plastics: bumpers, fender flares etc and install CB radio.

P.S. Completely forgot hood lifting gas springs (struts). Photos will be available later.

Updating:

Hood struts:

Image
Very easy to install. Hood holes already come from factory, fender ones have to be bored out from 6 to 8 millimeters. Use not very powerful springs, or during hot noon they lift hood along with yourself (i got too strong). In cold winter (-34°C this year) work very well. No any damages or distortions to hood/fenders metal spotted (8 months of use). Dirt near to fender holes are caused by anti-corrosion treatment.

Backup camera temporarily built in license plate frame. Searching way to make it beautiful.
Image

Window wind spoilers (have no idea how they can be named in English):
Image
Can't find Cherokee/Liberty and used Nitro ones. Not well fit but very useful.

Thank you for your attention.

The window spoilers are called vent shades, its a brand name used by the company that makes them. Have a set on my 09. They work well.

Winter is coming, nights are getting longer, so I lit my interior with leds:
Image
Pretty bright and awesome cheap.

Used old Sony Ericsson phone auto charger with switchable led light for passenger compartment illumination.

(mounted with 3M Command stripe)

And finally used very expensive Philips W5W leds for license plate illumination:

Pretty natural light color and, I hope, heavy duty and long term of use.

I have a brand new Jeep Compass for a rental car for a work trip this week. Should be interesting. It is pretty snazzy and has comfortable seats. Anyhow, it’s definitly not an off road beast but it looks fun for my road trip.

Anything you all want to know about the new Compass? I can take it to Rausch Creek on my way home and put it to the test. :-)r

Just kidding. I’m not quite that nuts.

The Compass is back at the rental car place. It was a comfortable ride with lots of bells and whistles. One of the most surprising things about it is the additional power and gas mileage it seemed to have vs. my Liberty. Probably my Libby felt peppy like that originally before I put 31’s on it, and if I regeared to 4.10 or 4.56 it would feel that way again. The Compass has a 4-banger in it and it can’t tow as much weight, so it wouldn’t be something I would consider as a Liberty replacement. But the 9 speed transmission averaged 32 mpg highway and 22 in town, which is very impressive. (My Liberty with 31’s gets 17/12 mpg.) The Compass would make a nice second car for someone.

Nice looking rotors, Gilcano!

Today I discovered what could be a rear main seal oil leak. There is some drippage from the place where the bellhousing meets the transmission. It’s definitely brown oil, not red ATF from the tranny. Above the leak area, everything else looks dry. I haven’t noticed oil on the pavement yet, but I don’t have my own driveway and park on the street. Hopefully it is a very slow leak. Is there any downside to not fixing this right away, if I check the oil more often and carry around an extra quart? (FYI, 70K on the engine, 156K on the truck)

Looks like I never answered you. Sorry about that!

Yes, that’s exactly where I was getting leaks. At least that’s where the water worked it’s way out. I am not completely sure where it was finding it’s way in. My rubber cement fix was not 100% successful, although it did reduce the amount of water getting in. I may have to take another look at the roof around the roof rack studs (under the side bar feet). I sealed them a few years ago but it may need to be done again.

The leak shows in the left hand side, check the spot in the picture:
I have a video inspection camera but couldn’t spotted the place from where the water is coming.

Mine drips on the right side in the same exact spot, where that metal tab is. If you ever figure it out, I want to know! And I’ll let you know if I find the leak source too. I think it leaks somewhere and then the water travels to that spot, so it’s difficult to nail down where it’s getting in.

Finally got a lot done on the 09. ATH winch bumper is on, only have to drill one hole when the winch gets installed. Went on pretty easily. All new brakes on all 4 corners, calipers, brackets, pads, and rotors. Lunch box locker in both axles, new parking brakes, all seals in the rear axle, front axle seals. New cv joint in front driveshaft. New oil pan, not bad when front axle was out, lol. Installed a 2 inch spacer lift also. I know, its not that great but it was $70 new, Rough Country. I cant afford the nice proper lift for now. Only have the winch, skid plates, and lights to install and its done for a while. I hope at least, haha. I have 3 other projects that need to be done.
