S3Q, sounds like you have a good looking Jeep there! Unfortunately I can’t open or see the photos. If you host them on imgur or PostImages you can put the links between image tags, like so: [img]yourlinkhere[/img] |

GordnadoCRD wrote: any spring break progress getting your tiny teardrop trailer back on the road? I wish there was progress to report! But I went and visited family over spring break, which turned out to be great, so I am not complaining. My next shot at working on the trailer will probably be in May when I have a bit more time. That pile of bearings and brake parts wants to be installed! I also want to finish building the interior, as 50% of the cedar planking for the walls and the birch ceiling have yet to be installed. Then I’m going to go camping! |

I like the way the black grille contrasts with the silver paint and matches the LED light housings. Do you have a how-to for replacing the slats in your grille with the gutter guard mesh? That’s a cool look too. If lifting 2.5”, the best lift kits (and really the only way to get a good outcome) are by Old Man Emu (OME) and Jeepin By Al (JBA). Avoid budget lifts that uses spacers because they will sag your springs and destroy your shocks in short order, and ride poorly also. Then you’ll be doing your suspension twice. |

Yea going with the black/silver look. I just follwed this video for the grille .. https://youtu.be/UUPWOSKElHo Got the mesh for 10 bucks at the hardware store, and ziptied the mesh to the black grille plastic insert. I skipped the drilling and setting hooks for the ziptie part!! And yea from everything i’v seen a full shock, spring strut and arm package is the way to go. Most likly a JBA set! |

I think 7 or 8” is about right for the inside drawer height. I would have to check the original plans to be sure. On a different note: My HVAC recently started having issues. The mode door selector (defrost, face, feet, etc.) no longer does what it’s supposed to do and the air is stuck on the feet setting. I need to check the mode door actuator (although I can still hear it trying to turn). Fingers crossed that a dash disassemble will not be necessary... |

Air conditioning compressor is dying, and serpentine belt squeals when the AC is on because it doesn’t want to turn. Today I unplugged it so that it won’t squeal, overheat and catch fire. |

I also suggest picking up a snatch block or two and some soft shackles. I have an UltRanger 3/8"x95' synthetic cable, soft shackles, and snatchblock. I like the soft shackles over D-Rings and are much safer. The synthetic line is also lighter. |

I’m building my “recovery gear bag” little by little. I have a few items already including a high lift jack but definitely needs a snatch block and a tree trunk protector.
