Since I took my before and after photos in the original post both with stock rims and wheels, below is some quick info on the body lifting:
Image
In the below dimensional info, "Ps"=Passenger's Side and "Ds"=Driver's Side:
1. Front Wheelwell (FWW) increased + 3-1/4" (Ps from 31-3/8" to 34-3/4", Ds from 31-1/8" to 34-1/4")
2. Rear Wheelwell (RWW) increased + 1-1/2" (Ps from 32-1/2" to 34", Ds from 31-7/8" to 33-1/2")
3. Front Roof Rail (FRR) increased + 1-1/2" (Ps from 70-5/8" to 72-1/8", Ds from 69-3/4" to 71-1/4")
4. Rear Roof Rail (RRR) increased + 3/4" (Ps from 71-1/4" to 72", Ds from 70-1/2" to 71-1/4")

I verified the tires had the same air pressure in both the before and after measurements. Tires are the stock Goodyear Wranglers 235/65R17. During these measurements, my KK is 2.5 months old and has 1,880 miles on it.

As you can see, it appears the current JBA 2.5" Lift Kit lifts notably more in the front, which per others with the JBA lift say it should settle some, versus the back. Have others with a JBA lift seen this much lift variance front to back? I would say my lifted KK now sits closer to level and no longer has the "rake" (e.g. nose lower) that it did at stock. Personally, I think I'd like to see the rear lifted a little bit more.

Hope this helps.

Ok, 800 miles (at 2,680) and 4 weeks, later, it does appear my front end has settled in some. Here are the current dimensions (still on OEM wheels and tires hopefully only for less than a day):

In the below dimensional info, "Ps"=Passenger's Side and "Ds"=Driver's Side:
1. Front Wheelwell (FWW) settled about 1" (Ps from 34-3/4" to 33-3/4", Ds from 34-1/4" to 33-1/8")
2. Rear Wheelwell (RWW) settled about 1/4" to 1/2" (Ps from 34" to 33-3/4", Ds from 33-1/2" to 32-7/8")

Now that I type in the dimensions, I realize that today's measurements are on a full tank of gas whereas my preceding measurements just before and just after installing my JBA 2.5" lift were with about a 1/4 tank. Thus, the driver's side measurements look worse now than they would be in an "apples to apples" comparison. I still think, based upon the passenger side dimensions, that the front has settled around 3/4" to 1" as it no longer looks dramatically higher in the front than it did originally although I still don't have a rake to its stance. I do think sometime I'll install another 1-2 spring isolaters in the rear to get it a little higher than the front.

Just sharing info. I'm still very pleased with my JBA 2.5" lift and UCAs.

Now that I've installed aftermarket wheels and larger/off-road tires, here's a little comparison:

Before JBA 2.5" Lift Kit Install:

After JBA 2.5" Lift Kit Install (still with OEM wheels/tires):
Image

After JBA 2.5" Lift Kit Install and with 245/75R16 MT/Rs on aftermarket wheels:

And now a couple side by side shots with a stock KK:

I'm beginnnig to get my KK configured the way I've been envisioning. I hope this info helps anyone considering mod'ing their KK. I'm going to post more detailed info on my wheel research / selection and tire fitment in the KK Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Survey thread.

Something else to check or remember, if you put a lift kit on your KK and increase the tire size, you better check if the OEM jack has enough stroke for you to change a tire. With my JBA 2.5" lift and 245/65R16 MT/Rs, the OEM jack was fine for getting the rear tires off the ground but didn't have enough stroke to get the front tires off the ground. I'm gonna be carrying with me some 2x6 or so spacer. That extra 1-1/2" of height is plenty.

Thanks ya'll for the positive and encouraging feedback.

2006 KJ, I've since removed the black lower air dam. As for trimming the bumper itself, won't be happening anytime soon.....if only someone made a winch-compatible bumper for the KK.......

JeepinJarhead03, yeah, I really like the wheel looks too -- that's why I was willing to go with a little light wheel well rubbing versus getting a wheel with greater backspacing and have no rubbing at all.

well depending on where it rubs, you may be able to use a heat gun and soften the plastic fender liner and use the head of a hammer to push the plastic in a bit, there's a bit of dead space behind the fender liner in many locations - several of which both kj's and kk's tend to rub a lil bit with the larger tires or different rims

let them rub for a week or two and jack'er up and get a good eyeball or two on the rub marks - could turn out to be something you wouldn't have to trim, simply a heat and push a bit dealy

I think my new MT/Rs are aggressive enough (especially in comparison to OEM tires).

Need 5 inch backspacing on an 8 inch wheel ( when lifted )
then better yet is a 7 inch wide wheel with 4 inches of backspacing ( again lifted)
7 inch gives you more choices as far as tire size. With an 8 inch wide wheel you need to run 255-70-16s or 265-70-16 ( of course again only if lifted )

This is what a wheel with 5 inches of backspacing looks like
no spacer , just wheel with 5 inches of backspacing
same on KK as KJ
