Hey guys,
I'm looking at putting a Jet Performance Module on my '09 RM ed. and wanted to know what you guys know or think about them. Are they worth the money for the extra power provided? I'd probably only go with the Stage 1 seeing I haven't done any other mods to the Jeep. Also, seeing this doesn't reprogram my computer will it void my warranty? Has any noticed an improvement in gas mileage....not that expect great mileage from a Jeep, but more is always a plus. thanks. Digger I noticed you had one, any comments from you?

Welcome to the Forum...

Well about 15 threads below this is a write up for you.
here is the link http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=43662

There are atleast 4 users on this board who have the JET chips.
Not 1 of them have removed it.

Some report at least 1 MPG more.
Most report about better shifting

Enjoy the reading...

Here is my write up about the JET Chip

Here is the install write up ...

OK, now for the good stuff!
JET recommends that you run 91 gas with the stage 2 chip. I don't have 91 so I got the next best thing ... 93!

First, right off the bat the transmission shifts A LOT smoother and quicker. This alone will give you a boost in performance. As you go through the RPM band you can really feel a difference in performance. Acceleration is smoother and quicker. Overall this chip is great. Just the transmission improvement alone was well worth the purchase. The rest is just a PLUS!

I got the chip from AutoAnything.com there price is super low and you get free shipping. I go it when there were having a 10% off sale (which they have all the time) and with the free shipping it was the cheapest place I could find it ... even cheaper then eBay.

Ok every thing I was going to write has been said  except for I run 87 with no problem. However I am up a mile high in elevation

I was thinking about trying it with 87 but for the 25 cents I'll just stick with the 93. What I have done is when my 93 got to a half a tank I put in 89 (which would give me 91) and I really didn't notice any difference.

I plan on doing some trial with 87...89...and 91 seeing if there is a difference....although filling up with 91 will only cost me 3.90 cents more per tank so I'm not to discouraged from using 91.

Well here is a smalll fuel lesson..
the higher the octane the slower the burn.

But you should run the lostest Octane you can without Pinging or pre-detination.

Also Air Temp can affect things. So keep in mind what the out side Air temp is while testing. Also loads will effect things.
Just keep all this in mind...

If you run a Jet stage 2 under heavy loads or up hills run 91 or higher to be safe..
