OK as some of you may know I got some new wheels a few days ago. If you don't know check it here.

When I got my new wheels and tires I had the shop transfer my TPMS from my stock wheels into my new wheels. After everything was said and done I started to lose air pressure slowly (very slowly, a few psi a day). I took it back to the shop and we tried a rebuild kit for the TPMS to see if that would stop the leak. After a few dunks in a tank of water we realized that the TPMS were not going to work out with my wheels. The way the valve steam hole was drilled just wasn't working with the TPMS.

SO, because of this I had to remove the TPMS and use standard valve steams. This was going to suck because now I would have that stupid light on my dash all the time .......... OR SO I THOUGHT ... It turns out that once you remove the TPMS your dash will show that you have "LOW PRESSURE" and your TPMS light will come on but once you start to drive, THE LIGHT TURNS OFF!!! I guess the computer realizes that you removed the TPMS because you can't drive with 0 air pressure. Every time you start your car you will get the light but once you start to drive it goes away.
Point of all this ...
1. You can take off your TPMS and not have to worry about having that stupid light on your dash all the time!
2. If you replace your wheels try and check to make sure the valve steam mounting area is flat so your TPMS will fit correctly. If they don't fit ... Don't worry, just see Point 1.
