I dont know what to do

well my insurance company called today to tell me my rates where going up to about 260 a month. I called all over the place and with my age and circumstances that's about as good as i can get now. I'm really down and i need to sell the kk but i have no idea how i'm going to do that considering its my only mod of transport. i just cant afford it now 7 months ago when i got it i had a very steady job and money out the ying yang but now I'm completely car broke my other bills need more attention then having a new vehicle. i just don't know what to do i asked friends and family no one wants it i know i'm not going to be able to sell it for the payoff for sure. does anyone on here know what i can do. i sold cars for a year with ford and had a few people come to me to try and get out of upside down payments and for the most part as long as it wasn't 5000 grand we got them a new cheaper car. kbb says i can sell it priv for 18000 payoff is 21000 not really bad but of course no one wants to buy a jeep cause they all think dcx is going under anyone have any ideas. i came to you guys cause i think of yall as my friends and i trust your opinions. thanks

Call the finance company and see what they can do for you. Hyundai and I think Ford now have programs where you can miss three payments without having a ding on your credit. Maybe they can help you and move the next few payments to the end of your lease so you can go a few months without having to pay it.

Also you can try to go back the dealership where you got it, explain the situation and see if they can get you into something cheaper. See if you can trade down without any money out of pocket.

You could post it on Craigslist, Autotrader and eBay and see if you can get someone to take over the payments (as long as their credit checks out with the finance company)

What I did was get 3 part time jobs and worked for min wage for 3 years to make ends meet.

It sucks, but you get to keep your stuff.

But it sounds like you would do it, but there might be other issues preventing this, that will not go away...

I cant work more than 1 full time i have grandparents that i take care of both in there 80s the lawn the cleaning so basically i already do work 3 jobs. basically the reason why i have a 260 month payment is because im single im 22 and i have two lawsuits on my insurence i was lucky they dident drop me it sucks how people are these days one of the people that sued was a friend for over 10 years just goes to show whats most important for most people. money sad but true

some dumb@#$# in a little focus slamed on his breaks thru a green light i slamed on mine but you cant expect a 4000 lbs suv to stop like a 2000 lbs car so i tapped him at around 3mph not kidding actually 3mph i was slaming on my breaks and looked at the speedo dont know why anyway small little hole in the rear bumper no biggie only cost im guessing 1000 at most to fix it but no people cant be happy with that no he goes to the er says his necks ruined dosent go to work and sues for 25000 and my stupid insurance company just forks it over dident even call me to ask me my side of the story real nice of them three months prior my "friend" got his finger cut off messing around with the steelcraft taillight guards and bingo 25000 in his pocket good friend i know oh did i mention he got a 08 liberty maybe he could take my place on here lol. I have the best luck ever i swear
