So i brought this up on another forum but wanted your guys opinion because it seems a lot more people have lifts here.

So i know there's body roll in lifted jeeps but i didn't think it would be this bad. I have the Daystar 2" Spacer with Skyjacker Shocks in the Back running 245/75 ATB TreadWright Tires(Look Like BFGoodrich AT KO). When at speeds above say 50-65 there is terrible body sway to the point where i don't want to switch lanes lol. Is this normal or maybe something isn't tightened? I also raised the PSI to 45 to test a harder tire but same thing really. Maybe its the spacers but before i put the bigger tires the sway wasnt that bad.

I wil blame the Shocks..... But other will have to chime in....

The shock may not have enough to them to work the way you need them to.

I know other switched to Bilstein and others may have gone another route.

But the reason was, the shocked needed differant Valving than what Skyjacker made. to prevent this Roll...

Do you mean the Shock didn't have enough in terms of length due to the lift or didn't have enough stiffness to prevent roll? It weird because the roll wasn't bad at all with the lift and stock tires but once the bigger tires went on it was a different story. Does anyone else have the same tires and the same size TreadWright ATB 245/75/16?

First, is the tire a LT rated tire? A the stiffer the side wall, the less body roll......

How ever in this case I think it is the shocks. What is the P/N for the shocks you used?

A "LT" or "P" rated tire will not vastly effect body roll, either does shocks(they help but not as much as you think). The 2 main things that control body roll is springs and swaybars.

X2 and I would say the sway bar help more than the springs. If your afraid to switch lane on the hiway theres something very wrong with your KK. I got 3'' of lift and 33'' tires and I take corners as fast as when it was stock

I have the Daystar 2" lift with a couple extra iso's in the rear, BDS shocks and 255/70-16s BFG ATs on 16x8 eagles and it handles and corners great at highway speeds. It feels nice and sturdy on the corners to thanks to the wider offset wheels. It could be your shocks or the cheeper tires c

Ok, now is it possible to install the rear coil upside down or is it the same on both sides?

Was thinking maybe that was it. I mean the sway wasn't that bad with the lift and stock tires. The Tire says Load is E and LT245/75/16. The SkyJackers are H7088 Hydros. Like i said the sway wasn't that bad with the stock tires but got bad with the TreadWrights. I didn't think just because it was retreaded it would be that bad, or maybe it isn't the tire i don't know

I had the TKO on my truck much much smaller size..
For the first 500 miles it was freakky to drive...

The tread made the truck squerm all over the place.
These tires where used as well...

It might just be you...
Give it some time and the feeling might go away...

Or go run a few twisty roads at normal safe speeds to break in the tires.

Ya they do seem to squirm, maybe they will wear a bit and seem to get better. Now were yours TreadWrights or some other brand of retread? But it isn't just me Ive had a few friends say its pretty bad. Its definitely a lot more unsteady, i don't mind a little more sway but this amount of sway is ridiculous.

I have the Rock Krawler lift with Skyjacker shocks and haven't had any issues with body roll and I thrash mine off-road 2/3 times a month. My Skyjackers are H7071.

There's no way the tires can make it have that much body roll from how you're explaining it. Do you still have your stock wheels and tires? If so throw them back on and see how it drives.

I've been in truck with 8"+ lifts and 40"+ tires and they didn't even have a lot of body roll.
