it's called nitrofill where they fill your tire with nitrogen it's supposed to be beneficial. think it really helps? |

Depends how much they charge you. For a full fleet, it can be beneficial, but for a single car type of thing... probably not worth it. Nitrogen helps the wheels last longer because it's a dry gas (doesn't contain as much moisture as normal air), so less chance of rust and corrosion. Also, because it's dryer then air, it will not fluctuate pressure as much due to temperature changes like air does. But normal air is already 80% nitrogen, so I'm not sure just how much better it is? Check your air pressure every few fill ups, and I'd say you'll be fine with air. If you get a good deal on nitrogen fill, then go for it. But keep in mind, if/when you do need to put air in them... you have to go a place that has nitrogen, or if you fill them at local gas station, you'll just be putting air in. |

If you can get it done for free. Do it. hands down no reason not to. if they want $10 to $20 a tire, forget it. it is best to have your Spare tired filled this way. Less of a chance of it being low when u need it. But if you check /adjust your tires PSI once a Month or every other month, then this is not needed.. |

i think i pay like 10 dollars a wheel once... but after that as long as i have my nitrofill member id i can get free fills where everythere is a nitrofill station/dealer |

If you do it. make sure the Pre-purge the tires... Get out all the Water and normal Air.... If they could add a Vacum to it that would be better.... Do not forgot the Spare. that is most important tire to do... |

Nitrogen and TPMS stemmed from peoples inability to check there own tire pressures at least once a month like they are supposed to do(remember the Ford Exploder and Firestone thing).The purest Nitrogen you will find is something like 95% pure,you really want to pay $10 per tire for 18% more Nitrogen then what already is in there? |

the systems today claim to be upwards to 99% which is what nitrofill does only... will do more research |

If you have a Costco nearby, they use only nitrogen in their tire shop, and will fill your tires for free, if you are a Costco member. Besides the things above about nitrogen being dryer than compressed air and helping tires and wheels last longer, I read somewhere that the nitrogen molecules were larger than air molecules and therefore would not seep out of the tire through the rubber as fast, hence your tires would be at the correct pressure longer with nitrogen, than with air. I had my KK filled with Nitrogen at Costco, and it worked fine. When I had air in the tires, I had some problems with the pressure sensors going from hot days to cold nights. |
