pics tomorrow cause they are all on my buddies camera at his house. but ya so i got the jeep stuck in some deep water, it was over my knees. water leaked inside up to the bottom seats. the water was FREEZING and i had to find a place to tow from cause i dont have tow hooks or anything yet. tried with two big 4wd trucks and that was a no go and ended up getting a back hoe to do the job. when we got it out it wouldnt start and i started buggin out but i ended up beating the starter and it started right up. it was an interesting day to say the least, at least 6 hours of it anyway. if you got any good ways to clean swamp water outta carpet let me know

Towhooks and skids - before you go off pavement
(or at least before you go off gravel roads)

(and the last guy to do mud on the carpets - gutted them and Rhino lined the interior)

lol, the carpets r tough especially cause of mildew and the smell etc... you can rhino line it and put down floor mats or you can get new carpet.. i wouldnt just try and leave the old stuff tho

You got to pull up the carpet and use a fan(cool air is ok) to dry it out completely or you'll mold and mildew and stink like Cr*p. I had a old Chevy impala that had the windows open during a rain storm. It was never the same after that. Windows had to be down or you would be gagging. Lucky it was a POS and I got rid of it.

first post pictures! second.. take out your carpet and take it to a professional cleaner.. have them clean the carpets. just make sure the inside of the jeep is clean and put some fans on it to dry it up real well. no need for new carpet unless it's real cheap.

Dang, I've been through some DEEP water and didn't get stuck ... The bottom must have been really soft. Did you slow down going through the water? You gotta keep a good pace or you will get stuck ...

PICS PICS PICS

Remove the seats.
Remove the carpet.

i would get it steamed cleaned and let it dry out.

Cleaning interior, definately what hrogi and candpliberty said. I yanked out a TJ carpet and pressure washed it ( is it warm where you are?) and once the carpet and floor console etc is out you can handle some of those pesky rattles everone b!tches about. Don't forget your door panels, bet they got wet, speakers? Once inside is clean and dry, wouldn't hurt to heculine etc, keep noise down. Maybe you could install some floor plugs like in the TJ in case, cough, cough this happens again. Definately wanna get crackin, moldy carpets nasty. Might want to take off yor starter, might have some doodoo in the gears and whatnot. Maybe ARB will come out with snorkel for a KK sometime this milinea. So did the doors not seal? Or did alot of water come in form opening doors? Good luck brother

sorry for the delay gentlemen. i havent gotten any pics yet cause my buddy keeps forgetting his camera and he lives 45 minutes away and i dont feel like driving all the way out there right now. ive got almost all of the interior (carpet, sound deadening, panels) cleaned, with the exception of the seats. turns out if you unplug the connectors on the bottom of the seats your jeep wont even start, learned that today.

the door seals werent the best but they held most of the water back. the water inside wasnt as high as it was out, it took in alot of water cause it was stuck for quite a while before we were able to get it out. i made it through alot that day following roads and trails but got off the trail and was out messin around. turns out the water didnt look too deep but the bottom was very soft. i actually made it most of the way through and only had another 15 feet to go maybe.

hmm that hurculiner looks pretty baller but idk if i can do that to a new interior... not that its messed up already
